So this is how the Gobetrotters get their own planet. I guess NASA was impressed with their show-boating Globetrotter algebra enough to lend them a space shuttle.
The chair of the department I graduated from in school made a good point; if you're wanting to get your masters, go to work for a few years after you get your undergrad, then go back for your masters. This does potentially 2 things for you: 1.) you get a few years of real-world work experience under your belt (I don't care what anyone says...relevant work experience is much more valuable than academic experience, if you plan to work in the real world), and 2.) if you work at the right place, you just might be able to get your work to foot the bill for grad school.
There really is a big difference between being 'book smart' and 'street smart'. I mean seriously. What did they think was going to happen when they put an ad online claiming that they have moon rocks for sale right after NASA's supply went missing?
The proper thing to have done (outside of not pulling this stupid heist in the first place, or course) would have been to flee to another country in the eastern hemisphere and sold them there, making enough money in the process to never have to come back to the US again.
If I had a laptop, I might want to sit on the couch and compute, but I wonder what the bandwidth difference between wireless and cabled? I've used wireless and it seems zippy, but I've never done any serious downloading with it.
In my experience transferring large files over the network, wired transfers at about 10 MB/sec (100 Mbit connection), vs about 2.5-3 MB/sec using the 802.11g wireless connection. My rule of thumb at home is if I'm doing light browsing on my laptop and want to be mobile, I just wifi it. If I need to do some serious data transferring it's wired all the way.
The irony, of course, is that in the wider battle for the online gaming marketspace, both Q3 and UT lost out very badly indeed to a free mod for an aging game based on a hacked around version of the original Quake's engine (ie. Counter-Strike).
Counter-Strike was a Half-Life mod. It had nothing to do with Quake, other than being in the same game genre.
It's better than not having him at all I suppose. A Terminator movie just wouldn't be the same without him...or at least something that looks like him. Are they going to be using his real voice at least?...Not that there was a ton of dialogue for the terminator role.
We will not proceed with implementation of additional tests until further consultation with our customers and other interested parties, ensuring that community needs are being met.
Translation: We like having customers and don't want the government taking away our freedom to implement usage caps quite yet.
Ok...so which state will the taxes be going to? The state in which the business operates out of, or the state in which the purchase was made in, or both?
I'm not. Who's going to willingly remove power from themselves once said power is already granted? Only an idealist or philosopher would do something like that..unfortunately no one fitting these descriptions is fit for the game of politics in this country..or any country holding a world power for that matter.
How about Google drops these whiny little bitches from their news service and let the news outlets explain to their advertising clients why they're suddenly getting a fraction of the page hits they were once getting.
I never played the original ET, but ETQW is a beautiful work of art. I'm tempted to install the original ET just to see where ETQW's roots are. But yea..I love the amount of teamwork that's required to accomplish the various objectives. Not to mention the deployables and vehicles rock:).
What's your name on ETQW? I've probably played with you, as I'm a regular on the servers. I'm 'ricecraka'.
It's nice to see somebody doing the decent thing for once. Much better to put the thing out there and use it to sell some next-gen graphics cards instead of spending years trying to "win" via lock-in-and-lawyers.
Agreed. nVidia has traditionally been a big supporter of open APIs. I remember back in 3dfx's hey-day, glide (3dfx's proprietary API) was all the rage...until nVidia entered the market and pushed OpenGL quite heavily.

No, that's a spoon.
I see you've played Ruley-Spoony before.
But, really, who cares? Any right thinking person knows some mistakes were made. The deal with Oracle is done.
Those in the proverbial crosshair of potential litigation from Oracle?

Whoops, my mistake. Wikipedia totally comfirms that as well.
A respected American think-tank...
Not after publishing this article.

But if we wanted leaders we wouldn't elect politicians in the first place, now would we?
And if we didn't elect people into office, there wouldn't be a market for politicians.

More like Wy-Fly

Man, caffeine plus every anti-allergy medication you can get OTC and a couple you can't is an interesting combination.
You don't say..
Add duct tape if you need extra man points.
I believe they call that the Ricky model.
Just throw on a Type-R sticker...seems to work for Honda.
...weak sauce.
