    There are multiple android apps for tt-rss, if you don't like one, you might try another one. I'm using the one by Nils Braden.

    I'm using Protopage as my iGoogle replacement, and I have setup tt-rss as my Reader replacement. Neither one is an exact drop-in replacement, but they are close enough.

    By "taste" do you mean the sense of taste? Some things are objectively salty, sweet, acidic, etc.

    I can't speak to $1000 bottles of wine, but that $100 bottle took more resources on average than the $0.99 bottle. The land those grapes grew on is expensive.

    Some do. One is Pali, one is Sanskrit. In my experience, Theravada Buddhists use Pali, and Mahayana use Sanskrit vocabulary.

    I believe they are also big on keeping their people off welfare. A one-year supply of food could help a lot if you had a long stint of unemployment. It's not just for the zombie apocalypse.

    ... the claim is that an increase in CO2 concentrations from about 380 PPM to 600 PPM will cause a "tipping effect" and exponential feedback loop causing catastrophically accelerated global warming.

    Is that the scientific consensus? Or your straw man?

    I wish we could get rid of the word "terrorism" completely. It seems to mean whatever the individual speaker wants it to mean. Let's do it this way: If it's a military target, it's OK to attack. If it's a civilian target it's definitely not.

    I've heard this, and I don't understand it. The Scandinavian countries all have much higher taxes than the US, and also much higher per capita GDP. How is this possible?

    Long distance runners do seem to have issues with heart disease, but it's probably due to all the "carbo-loading" they like to do, rather than the running itself.
