And still after 22 years of web, webdevelopers don't give anything about standards and have to rely on javascript and flash to even be able to visit websites.
I wonder what the results would have been for standard compliant web-sites.
The woman suing Mc Donalds wasn't stupid. A: she got quite a lot of cash out of it, and B: the reason why she won the case was that was shown that Ms Donalds put profit before safety.

Bookstore owners have to pay sales tax.
Amazon doesn't have to.
End result: said store owner goes bankrupt because Amazon has a competitive advantage because of tax differences. More unemployment and less tax-income for the state because of less sales-tax income AND because less people have a job.
So actually this means a smaller amount of people have to cough up the taxes the state needs, while if you have regional businesses, all that is smeared out over more people.
This is just plugging a loophole.
If I get a game, I really want to give it a chance.
But the majority of games are just real bad.
The 4-5 hours is the time I play a game before I decide that it's a really bad game never to be played again.
Of course even bad games have their followers that insist on playing it till the end.
I'm from the Netherlands. Although heavily crowded we have about the safest roads in the world (together with Norway and England). This is not because the Dutch are such good drivers, but the chances for being caught speeding or driving red lights are very high.
If it would all stop and instead prevent all murders and other similar unnatural deaths in our country, we wouldn't save the amount of lives as are being saved by being strict about traffic.
So in my opinion the measures against speeding are good and I can't understand why they would get taken away.
(On the other hand: private parties getting a cut from the fines? Only in Amerika)
Recently I've bought a new 8 megapixel camera and with it a 2GB SD card. I was pleasantly surprised that I'm now able to store over 1000 pictures.
So, goto to the US without your laptop but with your camera and while there obtain some cheap SD cards. 10 of em shouldn't cost your more then 100,- and that's over 10.000 pictures. Unless you're shooting a lot of photos it should be enough. It would also save you the trouble of carrying that laptop everywhere.
While goldfarming is a problem and in my opinion hurts the game in the long run, there's something that bothers me more.
Account hacking.
Account hacking is a professional business these day and it hurts players directly. Their accounts are robbed from every penny their gear which they obtained over hours of doing dungeons or farming, playing the game gets sold for a bit of cash and they're left with one ore more naked Characters.
While people may say: gold buying is harmless, it's from Chinese farmers anyway, that's not true.
If you are buying gold, you are paying someone else to hack into your fellow players accounts.
Think about that.
This article is more about "Open Standards" then about "Open Source". And those two are by far not the same. And it should be two different discussions.
The way I remember it:
It's almost Christmas.
-Windows Vista is Delayed.
-Computerbuilders fear lower sales right before Christmas.
-Microsoft introduces logo.
-Consumers buy PC hoping to upgrade when Vista comes out.
Vista comes out.
-Consumers upgrade to Vista but can't use features they wanted to use with their new pc.
-Consumer have to pull out the cash for yet another hardware upgrade.
-Double profit?

At first I thought it was because the US won their group on the world championship. But then I realised the are no football fans in America.

Zerba's address is at the Prinsengracht in Amsterdam. That's a very very expensive location.

The Question should be: does low IQ increase BMI? (Are Dumb people fatter?)
