In the US, when I got married in 1998 I left my driver's license in my car for my honeymoon in New Orleans, having to fly there.
They didn't even ask for ID at the time. They asked two questions regarding luggage and had an X-Ray machine. I was 25 at the time, but on honeymoon was only carded and denied entrance to a bar one time the entire trip. Returning home, no ID check.
Back then you could give/sell your ticket to anyone else and no one cared.
I could not repeat that trip today.
That was freedom. Oh, everyone, including US citizens, when flying, are treated like criminals, inside the country and at the borders.
The plate armor worn by the military is more restricted, but that doesn't really make sense for an ordinary person to wear (it is obvious you are wearing and rifle attacks are very rare).
They are a strange beast that I'm addicted to (four months with pretty much nothing else, I compare them to the Beatles at Sargent Peppers level). And while their live sets have a lot of electronic parts, most drums and singing are live, and freaking awesome.
They play for the crowd, to an incredible effect. Shoot, the crowd sings half the vocals.
But search for acoustic versions, that's the sweet spot. They are great musicians.
Similar in concept to the new laptop with the thin carpet on the keys, the new phones will have 1.5" shag carpeting.
This will serve several purposes: 1. Make it softer in one's pocket. 2. No need for a third party case (not even possible) 3. A convenient towel that one will always carry around.
SOX and OFAC are just government mandated job programs, forcing companies to add staff.
I've been in insurance since the 1990s, went to school to be an actuary (I chose to pass Go, collect $200, and went into IT immediately after graduation; passed 5 of the exams in college though - different system of exams now).
Fantastic comment. Regarding the end part about loan applications, you said:
Because if you're stripped out racial data as a category to train on, the algorithm wouldn't suddenly decide to discriminate based on it.
If the data included any location information it could very well exhibit racial bias as an unintended consequence. I live in a very racially divided area (there is literally a road that pretty much delineates the metro area by race - a continuing consequence of the past and wealth disparity).
That and Cobol. Almost finished with a conversion app that moves things to SQL Server to utilize advanced analysis software. Several more apps planned, it's my retirement plan...
Another apt analogy, in my mind, is Amazon. Not much profit, massive valuation, but they are taking over retail (took might be better but Walmart is still in business).
Tesla's ramp up is occurring, a bit behind Amazon's curve with regards to where we exist in time.
Unfortunately, I have to park on the street where I live as the mini-van (a misnomer) takes up the garage...
7 years of such information gets you security clearance at companies that have military equipment divisions.
I went through that recently (there were also 20 or so forms, income proof for 7 years, etc.).
So basically anyone who can enter the US under this regime will almost be able to get Federal security clearance...

In the US you can purchase body armor that will protect from handgun and shotgun rounds (as well as stabbing, slashing, and electrocution):

That's a civilian sellable version.

21 Pilots.

True, but check the debt with regards to social programs and misspending (a lot going to the military).
Oh, and wars are mostly off budget, discretionary. We don't have as much right now as in the past, but it's still there.
The government of the US want Guns before Butter. Check the budget.
Education, an afterthought at this point given the military budget. One would think it's WW3.
This is a critical reason we should be focusing on the moon first for colonization and science such as reproduction.
Magnitudes faster than the same on Mars.
As well, who wouldn't want to see mice sex in space? If it doesn't work insemination would still be a good test.

The SJWs are bad enough, let's not get the sentient fruit involved!
I've always wanted to reply to "Are you carrying anything dangerous?" like this:
Of course I am. First, My baby powder or foot spray would blind you for a couple of minutes. Or my head lamp could disorient you.
Then I go to work.
My laptop could knock you out.
My pens could penetrate your brain through either your ears, eyes, or nose.
The straps on my bag could easily choke you.
And the bag itself could probably suffocate you.
My laptop charger cable could certainly choke you.
And my car keys are great for causing blinding eye damage.
And my pencil sharpener has a blade which I've already loosened up for fast access and use.
Research has shown that hunter gathers work (hunting and gathering) far less than people in industrialized societies.
Think 2-6 hours a day depending on the group studied.

Can't bring those to school anymore due to allergies.
We... might send those along with the twins sometimes, on accident.
Come to Illinois, but the rural areas.
Your neighbors will be Republican but the state votes to the Democrat side because of Chicago.
But don't move to Chicago, it's expensive there.
The alternate ending version.

I actually do bowl with the kids balls. They are fun!
I saw the Onion article last week and had a good laugh (the wife pointed it out to me).
I've used the stabilization feature a few times in the past 3-4 years. It works very well in my opinion.
Surprised it took them so long to apply it to other services.

Looking for help...
This is the issue.
I won't go into more details as I'm writing analysis software for these type of systems (iSeries/AS400 rather than Z/Big Iron).
This was a test of how they would respond.
After seeing the response I'm sure the NSA got a call (they had probably already been contacted).
Actually, it's already a thing... But mostly in pajamas.
And with low review counts it's not yet popular, just give it time.

My first Troll rated comment!
It was more about Twitter not being relevant (except for one person).
Not as meaningful as my first +5 Insightful, but still worth remembering...
Other than Donald's way of annoying everyone.
Seriously?
