You are missing the point. Nobody actually cares what kind of editor you or anyone else uses. It is just a nostalgic reminder of the pointless editor-wars in days of yore.
I seriously doubt that Go is much of a challenge for a computer. A Go software that has been in development as long as fritz for example would probably also destroy any human opponent.

If that really were the case that thing would crash and burn. Nothing is built so it has to rely on several hunderds of people making no mistake. Because people make tons of mistakes all the time.
The orange box was the best deal ever, and then four years later the game is free? Noone is getting pissed at that. The also gave away Portal for free.

Personally I always played out fights with legos. Like some guys invading a fortress or pirates attacking a city I built.
But since it's a MMORPG there will probably also be non-fighting stuff to do.
I had a few mainboards with VIA-Chips, but it just never worked that well. Especially their drivers are horrible.

The trick to a good gaming system is to always buy stuff that is already considered "old". Never buy cutting edge. I only buy a computer every few years (last one 2 years ago) and I can play every new game without a problem. Altough you can't always play on highest settings, but I don't really care that much about it. It's enough if the game looks good and has a good framerate.
One big problem with PC-Performance are the really bad coded games. Many EA-Games have such horrible engines that use lots of resources and still look shitty. On the other hand the Source-Engine is really cool. I can even play HL2 and the like with my shitty integrated ATI-Card on my old laptop (and even with medium graphics).
