Ya I admit this sucks but theres always work arounds for things. You'll just have to start using programs like Tor to mask your IP and start using encrypted p2p traffic. How are you going to catch someone you can't see?
Yet another piece of junk out there. Honestly who is really going to buy this and use it at there desk. No employer is going to waste their money on junk like this. Its distracting too, sitting at your desk doing a mini stair stepper. Besides its good to get away from the desk every now and then. Go get a *%&$ing gym membership!
Very nice video, great quality. I think its a benefit to everyone that more countries are getting involved in the space frontier. We don't have to rely just on NASA to view space related content anymore.
Sounds like a win win situation for everyone. I've always like MySQL better than Access, not just because its an M$ product. I don't know about all of you but I can't wait to download this and see these new updates. Hopefully it won't just be in the enterprise edition.
I am going to have to disagree with your opinion against early termination fees. Ya they suck, trust me the last thing I want to do is dish out $200 for leaving a service. However you signed the contract and therefore agreed to it. If people could walk in and out of phone services whenever they pleased the phone companies would be hurt real bad financially. Who cares you might say? That means higher monthly fees on average and forget about getting any kind of deal on phones they provide like the get this phone free when you sign up for 1 - 2 years. Just do your research on the companies and don't be too quick to sign the contract, thats the best way to never pay an early termination fee.
Just curious what you guys think about how this relates to buying a CPU. Do you think individuals and companies are going to take a big look at the CPU Energy Use when deciding on buying CPUs? I personally don't think it will become a deciding factor, like processor speed or L1 and L2 cache size, but I think it definetly helps in making a decision.
This doesn't sound like the most stable thing to do especially if your running a server on the same computer. It sounds good on paper but implementing it is a whole different game. From my years in IT never try anything like this on production servers, thats what test servers are for.
Wiki is just running out of things to document. They literally have almost anything you can think of. I'm a computer science major and I've wiki'd some really advanced topics that appear on there but hardly anywhere else on the internet.
Aren't we suppose to be trying to get away from our dependence on gasoline? This car is probably such a gas guzzler it will way too much to maintain it.
Ubuntu is the way to go for new and advanced users. I agree licensing those technologies is a big plus but I as well as many others are not paying for a linux distro. Thats like one of linux's major advantages FREE open source software. That is really going to hurt them.
I don't see what the big deal is about telling people her role at the company. Its not like there telling everyone her salary even though well all know its well into the 6 figure ballpark.
Seems to be most new linux releases are adopting Compiz Fusion in place of what they had/didn't have before. Ubuntu's new release (Gutsy Gibbon) will be using Compiz Fusion by default also. Hopefully Compiz Fusion isn't too buggy, its on the newer side, or there are going to be alot of angry Linux users.
You think by now manufactures would smarten up and use a more stable power source for their products (other than lithium-ion). I wonder if Apple will have to recall the batteries and/or if there have been more unreported incidents.
Anyone see the picture of the different size quids? Some of them look massive. The red one looks like its the size of a waffle house waffle. Think they'll make a special wallet to carry those suckers around in?
It doesn't sound like this is an easy law to enforce. I mean how are you going to know if someone is logging ips on their site by seeing what the server variables are set to? But then again you can always use another tool that doesn't show up so easily. This whole thing just sounds to hard to enforce to the point where it would be effective to have the law. Its not like enforcing a parking ban or anything.
"Expecting them to bend to our wishes was unreasonable and not gonna happen."
They teach you that in Business 101. Expecting your clients to bend for you = lost of clients.
Not a problem. There will be a new hack out within a month that turns your iBrick back into an iPhone. Just because you put a hole in a wall and someone patches it doesn't mean you can't put another hole in the wall.
They're doing this because Vista has been such a flop and almost a waste of money at this point. People are backing out of Vista and rolling their OS's back to XP (some of the smart ones are switching to linux entirely). Vista is a complete nightmare and the only way to somewhat satisfy the customers is to extend support to XP. I guarantee you XP will be extended past June because there is no way they are going to fix it and gain customer confidence in Vista all before that date.
So is this basically a play on google maps but instead its all juiced up? I didn't see them come out and say in the article that it was "real-time" and "accessible to the public" though.
Why is it that we always see these exploits with GMail? I can't even remember the last time a Yahoo Mail or Hotmail, etc. exploit came out. There about equally popular among the public.
I guess if you go around robbing laptops from people at gunpoint you should at least be wise enough to reformat the hide drive before you start googling pRon.

Ah yes, yet another metric to english/english to metric error........

For only $10,999 you can upgrade that implant to include a HDD, L1 and L2 caches, and a 3.0 GHZ dual core processor!

Better add this little toy to the top 10 list of geek gifts for Xmas.
