    Uh, well, I read Slashdot too much. Right now I ought to be studying for my school's midyear exams tomorrow.

    When I do get down to studying, though, as I pledge to do after writing this post, things are fine. I don't know about ADHD because it's severe, but if I am engaged in doing something continuously, I will be able to finish it.

    I don't think ADD is really that much of a "disorder", which is why it is ignored in France (see comment 7984874) without a problem. Any kid who's doodling during school, I consider to have this so-called "disorder".

    But in the USA, where pharmaceutical companies have realised that more sick people == more profit, simple personality defects have become full-blown mental illnesses, like mild depression and ADD. My parents have put me on Ritalin and Aderol.

    There's an official Microsoft add-on for multiple desktops in the shell; it's one of their "PowerToys".

    2.6 is still using sucky wireless drivers that lock up the system when the wireless hub goes down!

    I guess I'll wait for 2.6.5 for this to be fixed :(

    Yes, but usually you watch television apathetically and get crap shovelled into your brain beyond your control (that's why TV advertising works), whereas when you read a book you get to choose what you find interesting.

    I agree with you on the nVidia thing. My computer is pretty old (750MHz), but the nVidia 3D card has held up remarkably and works even better than some on newer computers I've used.

    I agree with you on the RIAA thing too, but this is Slashdot so that's no news.

    Protestors may say that the KDE and GNOME applets are prettier, but on a 333MHz/56MB RAM, I don't care about pretty, I care about size. And GKrellM has a much smaller footprint than either one of these applets and their huge libraries.
