Why do these buffoons get far-reaching presidential appointments, while decent, experienced, talented people (Like NewYorkCountryLawyer, for example) get the shaft?
It's not who you know as much as it is how much money you have( for "contributions")... My guess is that the RIAA has a bit more "working capital" than Mr. Beckerman...
Give it time, they may be "mulling it over", but by the time Microsoft spreads a bit of cash and fud they'll be back in the fold... The more things change, the more the corruption remains the same...
I don't know what all the flap is about. No matter what distinctions Microsoft will impose it'll boil down to just two versions... Server, and Bot-net!
10 million lines is all well and fine, but more importantly what's the fuck count up to now?...
Yeah, yeah, okay I know. run --> grep -r 'fuck'/usr/src/linux* and count it up for myself... Sheesh!
Meh...All this means now is that he'll run for the senate. After all being a disbarred loon is a perfect qualification considering the company he'd be keeping.
I'd build it well away from the house, and constructed from reinforced concrete, and don't forget a good fire suppression system (the one you build for the kids won't need to be so robust).
Seriously, most rural people are not technophiles. I'd suspect that 256kb/s download would be just fine Speak for yourself:). I live in the boonies and just recently was able to get a 256kb connection.
Granted it's better than dialup but only just barely. YouTube is still a painful experience.
Sounds nice but,try to get the telco's to implement it in areas that they deem unprofitable without an act of congress. The best solution for broadband in the boonies as I see it would be broadband over powerlines.
All the same, I'd want to know the names of the legislators that think this is a good idea, and see to it their terms in office were considerably shortened.
A tax however onerous is one thing, but retroactive!? That's just plain mean! I would think it's time for our friends to the north to go to the pitchforks and torches!
And your director can still choose to undermine certain fundamental aspects of characters (even core characters), in order to provide more "drama". Not to mention actors who might complain that their charter would never say or do what the script calls for, and call for a rewrite!
The latest film has the same problem as all the other Harry Potter films The film suffers the same problem that all books over 300pages suffer. That is that the book to movie conversion runs at roughly 150 pages per hour. Any book running over 300 pages is going to suffer at the hands of bonehead editors and the such.

How much ya wanna bet the Army/Navy will weld a handle on the bloody contraption and call it portable?

You missed the obvious Futurama reference! it should be Blackjack-Hookers!
Cops only do their job when it's fscking easy?
In a word... Yes!
Nothing malicious - just greed.
I always thought greed was malicious. Just my 2 cents :)

Tuu bud ut dusent werk wiff thuh Guggle twel bur...Cause I rally lick thuh spill chaker.
That took some pluck...
So, ah, lemme guess...These Microsoft carts will have a broken wobbly wheel as a "feature"!
revamped "MCE" Oh great, just what I needed more machine check exceptions. I just replaced the CPU in mom's computer!
Don't think that I haven't been keeping the tines on my pitchfork sharpened, or that I haven't taken tar and feathers into consideration.

I thought that Bill Gates bought the Catholic Church?! See Here
Now I know why my brothers are boneheads! Now I'll have to buy some body armor before they can...[NO CARRIER]
