    To be honest I think you're extremely overestimating (to the point of ridiculousness) the effectiveness of "screeners" and the TSA and the rest of that bureaucracy.

    Your scenario is ridiculous. If you have sufficiently advanced technology to do that it would simply be easier to grow the organs themselves.

    Sorry but this is bullshit. If terrorists started bombing large queues in airports you don't think people would become rather... terrorized at the aspect of standing in large queues? I guarantee you that people stand in large queues much more often and in many more places than they do just at airports. When you're afraid of just standing in a long line anywhere that's a much stronger impact than "Oh... if I simply don't take airplanes I'm safe."

    Because it would be retarded, even by American standards. Any military force that would represent a threat at all would make a fence seem like using a tissue to stop a bullet. Likewise any force that would find a fence difficult to surpass would be much more efficiently taken care of by sending a squadron or whatever.

    If by insane you mean political. It's an extremely easy thing to demonize, especially in the Western 'Culture of Fear.' That makes it easy to funnel money into whatever the politicos want simply because they claim they're "thinking of the children, and if you don't like it you're a pedophile." Scare tactics will always be a net positive for politicos while the public at large suffers even while they think they're "safer" or whatever makes them feel better. Fear is easy money.
