War isn't truly logical from any reasonable standpoint. Arbitrary human things like markets, money, or whatever is not a truly reasonable cause for murdering. Any reasonable species wouldn't put themselves in a position to murder each other over arbitrary things like money. Any truly reasonable species would promote health and well being for all of its kindred. Humans are not a reasonable species, and believe logic is making a 40% increase in profit from last year by polluting the environment and killing some lower class humans.
Wars are not logical. Instead they would probably combine both cybernetics and bio-engineering, I mean why not. Why can't I BE a shark with a laser on my head?!
People still dump garbage into large bodies of water. I think Victoria in BC still dumps all its raw sewage straight into the ocean, as well as garbage. Pretty sure the Newfies do it too.
Because humans are obsessed with bureaucracy and pointless endeavours like greed. You can bet if our species was as fanatical about science as it is about religious bureaucracy we would be in a better world.
Laws and systems are mostly arbitrary in an anthropomorphic sense.
If a human could be made into mostly a computer they would probably be able to get a "cyborg" version of medical insurance, that includes updates or mechanical repairs, or whatever. Well, if it's profitable to offer the medical insurance...;)
Good thing the FCC isn't in the UK? Remember, attempting to bypass or remove the DRM from his house would immediately be in violation of the DMCA and any illegal activity thereafter would be under the trespassers liability. He could probably also sue them for bypassing his DRM featured house.
Of course games are "art" or whatever arbitrary labels people feel compelled to attribute to games. Or any other media. It's like saying photography isn't art because it should play its own "strength" instead of poorly emulating... painting?
In any case mindless games are fun sometimes, but even a plot that's arbitrary can still be fun. This article leaves out the possibility that we could have implanted devices anyway and something as trivial as eye sight or reaction time wouldn't matter. One can only hope anyway. Maybe if I pray *realllly* hard at FSM.
With such a large population if Homo sapien was really concerned about "slow evolution" then our species has the ability to introduce artificial genetic drift. If it was a problem, build a space colony, send up lots of smart people and keep them completely separate from Earth. Let them build their own culture, language, etc. Smaller populations generally "evolve faster". Although I suppose they would be space faring post-Homo sapien, which is pretty cool anyway in my book.
That would just give rise to the modern day sneaker net. It was quite popular before the advent of the intertubes. If somebody *really* wants something, they'll probably get their hands on it. Usually somebody "knows somebody" who can get them stuff, digital files are pretty easy to peddle.
I think I speak on behalf of all photographers when I say we would rather keep man-made crap to a minimum in our beautiful photographic world. I'm sure next they'd want to string up power lines and street lights up the mountain to power the blinking LED's on it.
They're not 100% effective 100% of the time. RISUG looks promising but it will no doubt not undergo clinical trials in Canada or US. This is because Pharmaceutical companies would rather put hormonal drugs through clinical trials so they can reap huge profits and leave the side effects for users and the environment. It's a shame really but that's western medicine for you.
I've read on a male contraceptive site about RISUG (Reversible Inhibition of Sperm Under Guidance) that method injects a polymer into the vas deferens, but it doesn't block the vas deferens. So it is much better than a vasectomy as you don't get the pressure or pain associated with that build up. Also it is MUCH easier to reverse, as all they have to do is inject something else that dissolves the polymer. The polymer "deactivates" the sperm, or something like that.
It's the best of both worlds, and you don't have to deal with the horrible side effects of systemic hormonal treatment. Males really got the short end of the stick for so long when it comes to contraception, either condoms which are unreliable or potentially non-reversible sterilization. I really hope RISUG gets passed in Canada soon as I don't want to have to rely on methods that have been proven to be less than ideal. I've even considered a vasectomy. Although I'm young so they probably wouldn't do it, I don't think I want kids at all perhaps that will change though. The reversibility of a vasectomy isn't very uncertain though. Sucks that it's free to get a vasectomy in Canada although it's so unreliably reversible, if RISUG would be free that would make my day.
Condoms are prone to failure or women poking holes in them to get themselves pregnant without your consent. Happens more than you'd think.
How about increase teachers, decrease classroom size. And teach parenting courses in school?!?! Heaven forbid our children know how to raise children properly when they have them. It's mystifying how this isn't taught in school already. They have the first part taught "sex education" but they left out the next 18 or so years after the sex part.
What about launching nukes at the tsunami? They have enough of them, might as well use 'em for something. It would maybe help a bit, or create a huge wave of super heated steam...
Or even better why not just give everyone a joint a day. You know what they say, a joint a day keeps the... wait what was I talking about... ooh Doritos!
They want to add our species to their intergalactic zoo...

Shorts and a t-shirt? Lucky bastard. Back in my day we only had a single thread of hemp to cover ourselves while we were seal clubbing.
I hear the airport diner the town over is offering long pork for a low low price.
The analog version is obviously superior. I can feel the soft, velvety texture of the analog virus whereas the digital version seems rough and blocky.

I'm not sure, have you checked out 4chan lately? I wonder if they are the Pure Collector's current niche.

Humans are animals so saying there are more animal hosts than animals is silly. /pedantic

The DS version was just a port from the Playstation version.

It's time for a Maleism Movement.

This would be alleviated if they didn't insist on stuffing 30 or 40 kids into a single classroom.

They can't turn into a dog or a cat and thus disprove evolution. Evolution was just a theory after all. - Texas Board of Education.
Huh?? Yeah, right. I'd much rather listen to Emily Haines than Americas favourite Britney Spears. How you got modded Informative is mind boggling.
