Good question on can they make games for the PC. I am curious to know the cost differences between PC and say the 360. I don;t just mean from a pure code and port stand point but from testing, technical issues, and support. What is the ROI for the same game on the 360 vs. PC? Now the PC has a bigger base (though this doesn't mean it translates always to higher sales) but the 360 will have less support needed.
Now my P4 3ghz (not a dual core), 2 gigs of ram, and my ATI 9800 pro 256 meg PCI card are falling way behind the times. My MB does not support PCI-E. So to play new PC games requires me to dump say about a grand into a brand new system....or I could buy a PS3 and Wii and 360....

Yes the sugars are a HUGE issue. High Fructose corn syrup is evil in a sweet sweet liquid. Eating health (organic, less refined sugars, etc) is expensive. My fiance's and my food bill went up by 30 bucks a week switching over to Whole foods, eating lots of fruit, non drugged up meat and diary products, etc. We feel a lot better but understand the economic issues with those forced to eat poor quality food.
That being said though go into a non organic food store (which we still do) and look at what is in people's carts. Soda, cookies, ice cream (not the good kind), etc. Maybe they can't afford the fresh fruits and veggies all the time...but one has to wonder if the eliminated the junk snacks could the savings at least add a little better food to their diets?
But I think this is like cigarettes. Everyone knows they are bad. Everyone knows eating junk and not exercising is bad. Seems most people maybe just done care?

100% agreed. With all the money Bungie has mad from the MS deal they can use it to branch out the halo franchise, invest more into R&D, make new games, etc.
And MS...well we know how much Halo has helped them. So they don;t want to ruin it either.

Let's say I have an iPhone. I've hacked it so it now is using t-mobiles network. How is the update being applied then if it is no longer on the AT&T network? Is it because a person gets it from iTunes or something?

Course you can play 4 people on the same console..can;t do that on a PC. Or 4 people with 2 being on one xbox. Or 16 people on 4 xbox's. ittle more practical if you have friends and parties.
Except your statement assumes that Apple hacked a few iPods into the exact same state as all the hacked iPhones and already ran a patch to see what would happen.
My feeling is why waste that time and moeny? THey will build a patch that will work with a non hacked iPhone 100%. They won't spend a single dime testing it on a hacked one (why should they the ROI on that is a negative). Simply say we can;t guarantee what it will do on a system with a changed state not done by Apple.
From what some posters are posting on here (not the parent just what I have read) is that Apple should somehow make sure the patch will work with every combination of a hacked iPhone. Hmm wonder what that would cost.

Ya I can agree with that. Maybe GoW, BioShock, and even Oblivion moved some units but ya nothing like Halo 3 will. When MGS4 comes out we will see a spike in Ps3 sales too.

well not sure on this...but didn't halo 3 break all pre-order records? Do you think any other game on any other system this year will match its sales? For the entire gaming industry this is the big one for this year (whether you hate/love it).
everytime I mentioned the memory issue I was always told it was a plugin or there was something wrong with my system or something about my mother and a donkey. Certainly firefox fan boys wouldn't have just attacked me because I questioned something...would they?:-D

It is a good game, not sure it's a 5 out of 5 though. AI is pretty stupid. An upgraded shot gun + wrench = easy victory in most cases. Even when they where like 5 or 6 enemies at once they never did anything that surprised me.
In a way I wish you were at Rapture right when things went wrong so you could talk to other people, build the story more in-depth [as in be more a part of itvs. just listening to tapes), etc.
The one thing that I did like is when they had the chimes before a commercial/announcement over the PA systems, I thought that was an awesome environment effect. At lowes the other day and the same sound came on before a store wide annoucment and I instantly thought it was going to be about Rapture.
