    There is a road which is on all the maps I have seen which doesn't exist in Morgantown WV. It was right behind my old apartment, here it is on google street-view.

    According to all the maps the road goes directly through the tree and both houses. This isn't an issue with GPS, it is an issue with the maps the GPS is based on.

    There is only one reason that countries are currently trying to develop nuclear weapons, and that is to protect themselves from us by having a devastating deterrent. Likewise, there is only one reason that countries with nuclear weapons are afraid of other countries developing them, it means that they can no longer abuse them in any way that they like anymore.

    it isn't a difference in the women that causes others to treat them differently based on if the said others know their gender.

    What exactly leads you to believe this? Knowing the gender of someone implies that you know at least a little bit about them. This means that you are more likely to know if you like that person or not. It also means you are more likely to know more about that person's competence. In case you didn't notice, the acceptance rate dropped a great deal for both genders when their gender was obvious.

    If all my games would run well on Linux I would drop Windows as fast as I could reformat the drive to EXT4, maybe Btrfs, I haven't played with that filesystem yet.

  18. If the president of a college ended their speech with "And for those of you who experience 'Test Anxiety Syndrome', please go home and come back when you are mature enough for college." I think it would give me a boner. They let in these kids who are not ready just for the extra money and don't care about teaching them at all. A significantly cheaper remedial school for those who are not ready would also be a great thing. There are a lot of people who have the capability, but were not taught, or made to attempt to learn when they were kids.

    There is something nasty happening behind the scenes, and I'm just waiting patiently to see the other boot drop as they push an update to 10 that turns it into the next un-versioned Windows which requires a subscription. I'm sure they will give you a month to buy that subscription, but there will be no downgrading back to 10.

    At least 90% of the administration jobs in US colleges are detrimental to education. In some places there are almost as many administrators as there are teachers, maybe more. Anyone who understands anything about corporations knows this is a terrible situation. I personally have no idea of the administrator situation there though.

    It is far more widespread than that. I think about half or more countries in Europe have the same law. I'd have to look it up to give an accurate count though.

    If there was a conspiracy then there was certainly a conspiracy theory until it was proven to be a fact. Every time a prosecutor adds charges of conspiracy that is a conspiracy theory. This should be blatantly obvious to you unless you have an irrational fear of the joining of the two words conspiracy and theory.

    If you want a taste of something similar go to Germany. Then try to do research on the number of Jews killed in the holocaust. If your research does not magically come out to 6 million you will quickly find yourself in jail, because it is specifically illegal to challenge the official story of the holocaust.
