After 40 years of scientific study, I have found that there is a direct link between the air we breath and ALL forms of cancer. It seems that everyone who has been diagnosed with any form of cancer breaths air. Coincidence? I think not.
I think the police need to get back to shooting people. Screw political correctness, quit slogging up the court system...you resist, you get holes in your skin.
It wouldn't cost the government anyway. Even if they gave the IDs to every citizen, they would pay $0 for them. Why? The government doesn't earn any money, they take it from the citizens. It'll cost us no matter what, reguardless of what the government claims.
You said..."But don't go around and tell me that I can't prove that God doesn't exist, because I can"
Then you said..."There are no proofs in science"
Still waiting for you case to show that you can prove God doesn't exist. Just as I can't show you imperical proof he does.
"Please excuse my cynicism of an organisation (i.e. the CIA) that relies on disinformation, propaganda, and psychological warfare, and uses the mass media and journalists to spread it."
And I suppose you ask poker players to show their hands before you place a bet?
Those dirty games the CIA play are just the thing that keep our enemies guessing about our stregnths and weakness. I'm quite glad to know that there are people still willing to lie to the media, since the medialies to us.
I'm trying to figure out where, in the Constitution or Declaration of Independance, we are granted the inalienable right to be told the truth by an agency that is designed to protect us from foreigh powers? Anyone know?
You said what I was thinking while reading the responces to the topic.
If the headline had read "President wants to stop P2P sharing" all anyone would have talked about would have been for "That stupid such-N-such better keep his nose out of our business." Or if it was the Senate Minority Leader, then the attacks against the Republicans would have been horrible.
Instead, what do I read? Attempts at rationalizing the sharing of files and the dangers of blocking ALL P2P.
No, there isn't a bias here
"powers not granted to the federal government in that document are not available to them. Income tax"
That IS in the constitution.
"Section. 8.Clause 1: The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;..."
Read it for yourself, dont let someone else tell you what's in it
Can we say msconfig? Go to "run", type in msconfig, go to the startup tab, and uncheck EVERYTHING! My system goes from push of the button to ready in about 30 seconds, and I dont get the shit that the software venders seem to think I can't do without
I thought the US was the center of depravity. Now it's Germany at the lead with violence among children? US parents unite! Get the trophy back to us!
Give me a freakin break, another who blames video games. Does anyone here believe that is you buy a kid the CSI game that they can solve a crime too?
So, I shouldn't be allowed to drive my SUV around? I can afford the gas, I can afford the taxes, I can afford the tires...and I keep it in proper working condition. A honda with a minimaly operating emissions control system polutes more than my Blazer any day.
Is anyone aware that there is a federal requirement that makes auto manufacturers make their SUVs no more harmful for the environment than a car? The stories about SUV poluting the air are all started by the same people that fly those huge, nifty, massive polluting air liners all over the globe to tell people how bad their cars polute.
There's a little piece of paper that comes with every piece of electronic equipment that says that by using that particular device, you understand that you must accept any interference that is generated that may cause the device to operate incorrectly. This would include these interferences. Most people throw that piece of paper away without thinking anything about it, and then raise cain when their nifty new toy doesn't work right.
Have the IT dept buy several multi hundred GB HDDs, and have the employees save all their emails to this drive. When the courts ask for them, hand over the drives to the law enforcement, and wish them happy hunting. You have to provide access to the emails, not make their jobs easy.
I have a 15yr old son who plays FPS, driving, 1on1 combat games...and he has no trouble determining the difference beterr good and bad. He has no behavior problems, in fact, he's often used by teachers as an example of how students should behave. He doesn't like fighting, but will if he has to, and knows when to stop.
Perhaps if parents were as active in their children's rearing, there would be no need to rate games as too violent for kids of any age. His favorite comment, "It's a video game, I'm not that dumb!"
So, would that be Murphey Moore's Law, or Moore Myrphey Laws
Exactly HOW do they come up with these numbers?

I must agree. RJ has made me begin to cringe whenever I see a series of books on the shelf at the book store.

Better yet, send them a check for $0.00. That'll really screw up their accounting software.

"Other events may have been volcanic or meteoric or the result of something we didn't know about." Damned SUVs.

I thought the title said swimsuit. Then I thought "It figures MIT guys would be interested in THAT!"
Who cares? Why is there a concern from anyone as to what OS someone else uses? In the greater scheme of things, does it really matter? No.
