I hate MS office 07 with a passion, since I'd got so used to using the older version. Switching between older MS office versions and OO was, and still is, much less painless. There is some stuff cool new stuff in there, but most people will never use it.

Having said that, you can download a utility (free, from MS) that enables users of older versions of Office to access the newer files. Not that you should have to, of course.

The even better solution is to install OO3 on your clients/friends computers, since it opens MS2007 docs just fine.

I guess everyone is going to hammer this, so here's a counterpoint. I'm all for better tools to help people development. For far too long, HR and management of people in general has either been too 'robotic' (think Taylorism) or subjective, as in 'your boss likes you, so you get a better raise'.

There's no reason why stuctured approaches, that have worked well elsewhere, should not be used. The real problem lies with lazy, incompetent managers who are everlastingly seeking the holy grail of the 'quick fix'. Now, if a person identified by this method is a high performer but a low communicator, then either his/her job does not require endless emailing, or they are a candidate for some coaching or training.

Unfortunately, interesting and potentially useful tools tend to be abused and hence get a bad name. If some middle-management dick just starts firing people with low bubble-count, all that will happen is that you'll turn the place into an email factory...

Amp/Hour at a given voltage is perhaps what you are looking for. You could work it out for your device using W=V*A or I**R. 25kW for 10 seconds is a lot of power, and given the typically low voltages of battery cells, you're either talking about a lot of cells in series, or 'interesting' high current.

Microsoft hasn't done a great job of explaining to the millions of people who've tested Windows 7 that the beta stage is more about catching problems than significantly changing the way the system works.

The beta testers complaining sound like they just went in with unreasonable expectations.
