Since lucasarts abandoned their best genre, adventure games, I see no reason to buy their crap anymore. Most of it is simply rehashed experiences that Ive already played, but now with BETTAR GRAPHIX WOO.

    Give me a break.

Release Sam and Max 2, or a new Monkey Island, or tie fighter 2 (the first was just so damn good) and maybe MAYBE I'll give you another look.

Im still bitter about the whole sam and max thing. I was so looking forward to that :(

It was, shall we say, an enlightening class.

    Uhm... What?

So stick to the subject please.

The subject is the negative influence that copyright has on this nation and the world. I think making a new creation of music ILLEGAL falls within this sphere.

afford music and have to pay for it and not afford it a get it for free

You arnt buying "the music." You are buying the physical CD.

See where I'm going with this?

No, not at all. A CD isnt an MP3. When you carjack someone, someone loses a car. When you shoplift something, someone loses an item. When you copy something, noone loses anything. You made a new copy.

you thought "He stole my idea", yet mysteriously, you still have your idea, and you bug collection. See where I'm going with this? See, you understood the concept of intellectual property in the fifth grade.

Sure did. And its pretty damn immature of me to think that I was the first person to have the bug collection idea. Its such an obvious idea at that. Of course, if I had the best bug collection ever, and everyone could get the same collection at zero cost to me, I would be more then willing to do so! But thats because I am not an asshole. :P

Sorry, I award you zero points. :(

  9. Re:Fuzzy math on Interview with MPAA Chief Dan Glickman · · Score: 3, Insightful

Because copyright infringement isnt stealing. Its copying.

Secondly, noone is being denied any money, whatsoever. Noone put money into this distribution, and noone is making money from it. If someone wanted the cd, and could afford it, they would buy it. An mp3 is not a cd. A cd is a cd. Sorry.

Also, your logic, and the RIAA's is standing in the way of the greatest social and creative revolution in history. Creative works are built atop old creative works. (ask disney)

In this country, there are kinds of brilliant music that are ILLEGAL and people get sued for. (DJ Dangermouse's Grey album)

That alone is extremely disturbing. Music should not be illegal.

Governance is needed to establish and eforce rules so that the general public, ie, society, can operate.

On the internet, these rules are already agreed to. TCP/IP, FTP, HTTP, and other wonderful acronyms.

The things that are illegal online are also illegal irl. If you enforce the general societal rules already on the books, then there is no need for a Internet government.

    At least, in my opinion.

Not even remotly secure. People can see what you are downloading, no problems.

Now, I love torrents. I use them for mostly anime, which the companies have, so far, given us a polite nod to do so. Just take them down when they put in a request, and no scary lawyers. (Although I am confident that this is going to change)

Of course, torrent has also made people used to convenient downloading of big in-demand files.

So, what will the *AA's going after BTs do? The same thing that going after p2p has done. Create a new, more secure, more stealthy "sequal" to bittorrent.

News: Beyond Good & Evil Trilogy
    By Ash - Jul 29th 2004 16:40

Despite unexpectedly low sales Ubisoft do not plan on letting Beyond Good and Evil fade away and have announced there will be another two games.

In a recent interview Ubisoft confirmed that there will be another two Beyond Good & Evil games, making the series into a trilogy.

Apparently the ending for the first game was left rather ambiguous because they had planned on carrying on the story, good news for all Beyond Good & Evil fans.

    Update

Further websites seemed determined to prove us wrong and according to "sources" there are no games in development and Ubisoft were simply saying they planned to release three games but it seems less likely now. Sorry for any confusion.
