Assuming the ps3 follows the popularity of the ps1 and the ps2, a high percentage of households will already have a blue-ray player. (over 50 million ps2s have been sold)
Frankly, I dont see much advantage of these disks over DVDs, and Ive _got_ an hdtv.
Boy, I sure am glad that copyright laws have so encouraged the creation of this wonderful science.
Oh wait... Nevermind:(..or is this trademark?
Anyways, all beatles should already be public domain by now. Its not like these guys need more money to encourage them to make more music. Do you know why? Because the beatles havnt existed in over 25 years... they havnt made anything new.
This keeps anime inexpensive to make, which is why there is so damn much of it. They _do_ cut corners, frequently. Its how the industry operates.
HOWEVER, this poor animation is not a constant. Usually, they save the budget for the action scenes. Check Evangelion for perfect example. shoddy animation (but great visual direction) through most of the show.. but during those actions scenes...
I thought it existed because a bunch of hard working people got together, made a movie, and distributed it on dvds.
I wasnt aware that copyright alone was responsible for the creation of content.

It is extremely easy to defeat these cameras. In fact, many of the cities that already have their spy-cam setup have been struggling to deal with it.
This tech is everywhere. You can buy several of them in many malls for under 20$
Its called a "hoodie." Its a sweatshirt you wear, and when you dont want to be identified by cameras, you PULL THE HOOD OVER YOUR HEAD. As all these cameras are mounted above human reach, all you need to do is pull the hood over and look down, and the angle is enough to obfuscate the view of one's face.

Okay, so hes basking in wealth. I wonder if he tips well. Ive been asking that question a lot lately. Food service is utter hell, and many of the people involved make less then minimum wage. I try to tip well, or not eat out. Tip size is a good measure of person-type.
But I am going to side with the comedians on this one.
Why?
Because MST3k has nothing to defend, as THEY HAVNT MADE ANY NEW ONES IN FIVE YEARS!
Snarky comments on movies isnt an original idea. Honestly. Maybe if they continued making new episodes, then I would feel some compassion.
Its like bands that break up or die out, still profiting from record sales. But why? They arnt making any new records! (you can make the same argument for movies and videogames too)
He and Linus are the two alpha geeks. Or maybe one is alpha, and one is omega? The beginning and the end?
Regardless, you must bow before his mighty brains. For he will stimulate your mind not unlike the triple breasted whore of eroticon six will stimulate your groin.
I have, in the past 2 years, given away 3 copies of the complete hitchhikers guide. None of them entirely on purpose, mind you. I just find myself shocked that a friend hasnt read them, loan it to the friend, then opt to let them keep it and buy a new copy for myself.
I've been involved in fandom for 11 years. I've written for 2 anime magazines, and one fanzine. I've helped in some minor dvd production/testing. Worked on a handful of early fansubs. I've run anime panels at conventions.
Is that enough?.. I dont want to sound like Im bragging or anything. The only reason I dont actually work in the industry is because the pay is crap... And I dont want to move to Texas.
The first DVD of the tv series is out. I'll wait on season 2 because ive got the uber-high-quality-home-theater setup. Bootlegging anime of this production level doesnt really give you the whole "feel."
Oh, I can visibly see the difference between 1080i and DVD quality. Although on a well authored DVD, this isnt a very big deal.
I just said I dont see much "advantage." DVDs are 'good enough' for me. I wont switch over to HD unless its just as cheap as DVD. I doubt it will be.
Because the ps3 will have blue-ray.

I remember timing it. I think it was over 2 Mins, but Im not sure.
:)
But, at the same time, that was a fantastic scene
Correct.

Yeah, because anime has never predicted future technology.
Oh wait, its been doing it for decades.

So, she should move to boston.
Except, well, shes not factoring "cost of living" into her little equation.
Boston is expensive.

Hahaha! I remember that (I was an op on the channel at the time, I think)
Although I stick with the dualshock these days.

I would download wal-mart's cheap version.
Oni and Max paine for ps2 are a good start. Yuck.
Nope. I wouldnt care. There is a difference between "beatles" and "beat alls"

The new fake-leatherbound version is really nice.

Yup, im up to dvd 5 :P
:)
But Im enjoying gits:sac more then last exile.
Personal opinion, of course, but last exile is also phenomenal.

Same with last exile.
Bootleg naruto instead
Thats why I said "Anime fans," and not "anime."
