Your consciousness is still you assuming the artificial neurons work as they're intended. After all, consciousness is emergent behavior resulting from the interaction of several billion neurons - though It might be possible to "alter" one's consciousness if these artificial neurons don't function quite the same way as natural neurons. I'd equate it to having Alzheimer's Disease, Dementia, or Schizophrenia (though not in a negative sense). Whether those diseases can cause a person to "cease to be themselves" is a different debate in my opinion.

Gah! That's the first thing that came to mind when I saw this article. I should know better than to think I'm the fastest Douglass Adams fan here...
Anyone remember Warhawk for the Playstation? The game had several different endings, most of which were achieved by losing the game. In fact, there is no way to win the game without sacrificing the lives of either your pilots or the lives of the larger ship that launches and supports them. One ending even results in the enemy's leader choking to death on a chicken bone as he laughs at your defeat. It definitely made things more interesting...
Not true at all! Sandbox-style games allow you to determine your own goals and motivations, not confining you to "complete mission x" or "eliminate threat x" or anything so linear; this style of gameplay, especially when used in an online world, creates a very dynamic universe where the players are truly PART of the world, not just using infinitely-spawning resources against other infinitely-spawning resources and/or each other. EVE Online is a perfect example of this.
Java, C++, and C# Being my first programming languages, I have to say that I'm at a loss as to how one can miss Assembly Language. All I can remember is the fact that it took me hundreds of lines of code to write a simple calculator (in MIPS).
Technically, wouldn't it be Analog Rights Management?
Only if it has a Railgun attachment. That would be the coolest.
What's important about this game is that now I'll finally be able to start my career in Country Music! Pa will be so proud.

Then there's some information I need to retrieve from my wife...

...Just let me know once I can pick up things just by walking over them. I tried that with the hamster yesterday and it didn't work at all!

Unless they've "Discovered" Chuck Norris.
You must not be familiar with Verizon.
It's called EVE Online, and it rocks. Take that.
