You mean stupid features like refreshing the tab when switching to it? Instead of giving the data i had, it will blank it, and refresh the page, unbidden. IF im offline, i just lost whatever data i already had and am given a blank page. But yeah, Apple is full of geniuses...Apple Notes will auto convert any number it finds into a hypertext string. Have 7-10 numbers in a row? Obviously its a phone number, lets hyperlink it with no option to turn it off....Addresses, map coords, any number you plug into Notes, it will try and hyperlink it. I shouldnt have to explain how incredibly stupid and dangerous that can be from a security standpoint.
NO HELL FUCKING NO. I should NEVER need a third party's permission to pop up a website. Fuck you and authoritarians like you. The web should always be able to transmit in the clear. Dont co-opt freedom for your illusion of safety.
I hate it. I am constantly hitting it. I use numbers and symbols WAY more than i do emojis. For some reason Apple hates giving us options. I should be able to disable the emoji button, it has no use on my ipad.
Everyone does this now. IF im a US based customer, and i have no data points showing i often travel to other countries, most companies are going to straight up ignore attempts to use my credentials outside the US without secondary verification. This is nothing new at all, and is required security in a world that still relies on alphanumeric passwords.
The issue is Google doesn't ask, they take. I used to participate in data collection in the early days because i believed as you do, until I wanted to modulate what i shared and Google showed its true face. They dont take no for an answer. The user is a data point, not a person. That is an unacceptable philosophy.
Everything rolls out in batches now. Where did you get the idea that simultaneity is a wanted condition? Up to 30 minutes to distribute to hundreds of millions is excellent scalability. Quantity has a quality all its own.
You can get around that with a cheap external relay. Amazon Lightsail could do it for $3.50/mo, with plenty of leftover power/storage to do other things that external relays are good at.
Its so dumb too. It would be trivial to geo-lock/device lock his account, or only allow it to be posted to from the company intranet. Its so easy to harden something if you know you are being targeted.
You do realize the word 'steal' has no context in discussions about infringing copyright? Calling it stealing means you dont know what you are talking about, and have no place in this discussion. Infringement is never theft, its infringement. We make this distinction as to remind everyone that we are talking about ephemera, not actual tangible goods.
You can feel the energy of the sun DIRECTLY on your face. If you stand in it for more than few mins it will begin to cook your skin. Its not disconnected. Those photons came from the Sun approx ~8 mins prior, directly to your face. Even inverse-square has trouble minimizing the power of the Sun, esp at one AU, where the entirety of all life on the planet is fueled directly or indirectly by the suns output.
The part that you miss is you completely limit your potential by reveling in your bubble. Enjoy it, but know you are less than you could be. Using your illness as a crutch only makes you a cripple.
Apple's approach in insane. Its either 'let us do it all for you' or 'well fuck you, you are on your own'. Also, they have two different paradigms for how they treat the device. Itunes treats the device as disposable, where all master copies reside on the computer. For photos, it treats the device as a sacred repository where anything deleted of it also deletes the master copy on the server. Its outright stupid.
Fool. The user is always supposed to have ultimate control over the device. Fuck off with your scare-mongering as an excuse for sloth and apathy. If a user refuses to learn, they deserve what they get. Dont bust out the golden shackles and try to tell me its jewelry.

Ignoring BFR, Falcon Heavy is operational NOW. Next FH flight is a paid mission. Everyone involved in SLS should be hung out to dry.
O wow, that is the first time i have seen a company not accept email as a third option. We are beyond the horizon, here there be dragons..

Just FYI, AMD and Intel have full cross-licensing on patents..and have since the 1970s.
How secure is it really if you dont hold the keys yourself? Thats what makes desktop more secure, not its form factor.
How many sites do you need? Slashdot, Reddit, and HardOCP are all i really need. Everything else is noise/ads
So why is it only being used on the Pixel line? Why cant all androids have it?
That Newton fellow didnt even invent anything, he just described what was already there. Why is this guy even famous? ;)

Any properly designed storage backup system has a physical/logical break in the control flow. You are arguing a stupid point.

You dont understand power.
You are not helping the situation.

Regardless, people need to learn this or get smacked hard in the face by life. No one owes you success.
To properly store data, you need at least 3 hard drives..
