Have 7-10 numbers in a row? Obviously its a phone number, lets hyperlink it with no option to turn it off....Addresses, map coords, any number you plug into Notes, it will try and hyperlink it. I used to participate in data collection in the early days because i believed as you do, until I wanted to modulate what i shared and Google showed its true face. They dont take no for an answer. The user is a data point, not a person. That is an unacceptable philosophy.

You can get around that with a cheap external relay. Amazon Lightsail could do it for $3.50/mo, with plenty of leftover power/storage to do other things that external relays are good at.
Its so dumb too. It would be trivial to geo-lock/device lock his account, or only allow it to be posted to from the company intranet. Its so easy to harden something if you know you are being targeted.

Itunes treats the device as disposable, where all master copies reside on the computer. For photos, it treats the device as a sacred repository where anything deleted of it also deletes the master copy on the server. Its outright stupid.
