What's making is cost more are monopolies. If only one provider is allowed to service an area, they can set their prices, and people have to pay. It's a little better, but not much different if there are two or three providers and they collude among themselves. In such cases, subsidies will only channel money from the government to corporations. In order to really lower costs, all that's needed is allowing competition.
But there is momentum exchanged. Photons carry momentum, even if they don't have mass. This drive, if it works as described, violates conservation of momentum.
I think it depends on how big the screens are. If you have a really big screen (like 30''), then I would imagine that wider is better. If not, those extra pixels at the bottom count more.
Also, the common choise is between 1920x1080 and 1920x1200. If those are your only choices, you get extra pixels at the bottom almost for free, they are only slightly smaller at the same diagonal. Again, with bigger screens and bigger resolutions I would imagine this matters less and width matters more.
Make a modern Transport Tycoon or Railroad Tycoon. You know, with 3D graphics, something like the latest SimCity or Cities:Skylines, but with the Tycoon gameplay. There are at least two good Rollercoaster Tycoon variants coming out this year, but nothing for transport enthusiasts.
This is a textbook example of doublethink. Nobody actually believes that elephants have evolved over millions of years, but Adam was just put there. So apparently a quarter of people have an inconsistent belief system, or just two conflicting ones - let's say one from school and one from church - without realizing it. I'm sure if they were confronted with this, they would make some sort of excuses or explanations.
Even though I don't like Apple products, I don't agree with the accusations about treating their workers, and I certainly don't agree with Trump. What I wrote is the reason Trump is targetting Apple, not the reason Apple should be targeted.
I have to call bullshit on that. 16% of France means 10 million people, while the same article claims there are only 5 million muslims there. I'm also pretty sure not all muslims support ISIS, and I'm even more sure that there aren't 5 million non-muslim ISIS supporters there.
Also, if the article is correct, we have failed as a species and are doomed.
This is not *another* DE. It is KDE3, which was the only good one in a time when KDE4 crashed all the time, Gnome3 has arond 3 features in total, and Unity got introduced. Now, however, it's old, and everybody and their mothed has moved on.
Technology is supposed to help horses, not replace horses. Technology in your carriage that helps your horse be a better horse is a good thing. I have been, and will remain of the opinion that attempting to replace horses, literally preventing them from actually drawing the carriage, is a bad thing.
I'm sure that Henry guy got lots of comments like this.
Since TFS doesn't say, the old model says 21C is the best, while the "new" model says 24C is the best. The problem is, of course, that one can wear a sweater in colder temperatures, but it's difficult (or inappropriate) to cope with higher temperature.
As a young fat (by European standards, not American) male in a job with no format attire requirement, I usually wear a t-shirt and shorts in the summer, so there's not much left to take off. I'm still more comfortable at lower temperatures (22-23). I actually like wearing a hoodie, but I never do at the office because it's too hot there.
And no, opening a window (as suggested in TFA) is not a solution when there's 30 degrees outside.

I can, and I do.
Apparently, the Russian nuclear icebreaker is used for cruises as well. http://www.quarkexpeditions.co...

I don't know what you mean by hard-line, but Eastern Europe still has free education and healthcare. So the capitalism there is pretty moderate.
Slashdot, much like the language it was originally written in (Perl), is write-only.

It's obvious: because it's such a well-known and popular brand, and because it was recently under attack for treating Chinese workers poorly.
Has anyone seen him hit another man? Has anyone seen him eat? No? Then he's a robot.

They had a better name in mind, but it was already taken by some modem manufacturers.
And if it's not a legitimate reason, the car has ways to try to shut the whole thing down.

Thank you, as a non-native speaker I'm trying my best to be a grammar nazi, so I'm grateful for any corrections.

Unfortunately, sudo.su, superuser.su and root.su are all taken. Any other ideas?
Agreed. Not only it makes programming easier, the code also tends to be more similar to Java and C#, which he has used before.
They tried adding Vim as well, but they only had place for 15 books.
It's not only about the country being poor. Asians tend to have a strong work culture. Africans, not so much.
Does this mean Germany will start building nukes instead of coal plants again?
Is the difference only due to China?
