I've not played the Dreamcast game, but Jet Set Radio Future is one of my favorite games. A perfect marriage of style and substance. The rollerblading was really fun. THe ability to skate of telephone poles and across rooftops was really cool. The J-pop filled soundtrack was one of the few that I didn't immediately turn off, either. I yearn for a sequal!
Except that article links to a story about Zacarias Moussaoui, not Jose Padilla aka Abdullah al-Muhajir. Totally different person. Jose Padilla has yet to even be charged with a crime, let alone appeared before a judge.
How is it that John Walker Lindh, the "American Taliban" who was captured, fighting in Afghanistan, against America, somehow wasn't an enemy combatant as was tried? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Walker_Lindh
It's amazing that we can't charge enemy combatants now, but during WWII we were able to charge traitors and even a group of Germans Spies that made their way to America.
He is an American citizen. He is alleged to have committed an act of terrorism. Charge him. What is wrong with that?
I would think that Jose Padilla would have something to say about that. He's an American citizen that has been held in a military brig for three years now and has yet to be charged with a single crime.
Now don't get me wrong, I think he is guilty, but guilt, from a legal point of view, can only be proven if you are charged with something...
well, I saw the Scifriday preview and they are already adding a Worf-type guy (actually he looks sort of like the Worf-type guy on Andromeda complete with dreds and everything).
In my opinion, however, the worst thing about the show are the wraith. They just seem like a lame replacement for the SG1 bad guys (go'ul? I know there's an ' in there somewhere!). The other humans they ran into who want to make a nuke are much more interesting to me.
When I started messing around with Ubuntu, the hardest thing was installing programs. If it isn't in the Synaptic packet manager, there isn't any obvious way to get it installed. I'll be honest, I still don't know how to install programs when they don't show up in Synaptic. Why the hell is it so hard to install programs?
except that, to the best of my knowledge, without exception every videogame law that has been proposed in America has been sponsored by an Democrat. In addition to the other poster mentioning Lieberman, Leland Yee, one of the people most up in arms about "Hot Coffee" is a democrat, as is Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich who got a law passed there, and so is Joe Baca a congressman who has introduced a videogame law at least twice.
I'm no fan of those in charge of the Republican party, though, and this just shows that neither dominant American political party represents my political opinions.
The submitter chose to submit the story in one of the most sensationalistic manner possible. It wasn't simply for using someone's wifi. The guy was in his car in front of the guy's house and the homeowner saw him out there three times in one night. I would have been suspicious too. I might have went and talked to the guy instead of calling the cops, but I can understand why someone might be afraid to go up to someone and ask what was going on.
Additionally, the quote is from the perspective of the ISP, so of course they are going to say using free wifi is theft. They are losing potential customers when someone shares!
From the way the story was submitted, it sounds like the ISP is the one arresting someone at random, which isn't the case at all.
People often complain about the media misrepresenting and sensationalizing news. Who are we to complain if we do the exact same thing?
Which e? I'm born and raised in Indiana and don't know know of anyone that pronounces an "e" in Euchre. Euchre is pronounced "you-ker" by myself and everyone I've ever meant.
except they are using a special build that was made just to show off their new rss stuff and not a regualr build of the program. So they didn't have "all those eyes" looking at the code. Moreover, when it screws up he instantly says that it is rss bandit's fault, which seemed suspicious to me that he was so sure that it wasn't longhorn's fault.
'The bottom line is that console manufacturers often heavily subsidize their new machines, swallowing huge losses up front in hopes that they'll make it all back selling games... Other things being equal, the DIY-heavy PC gaming industry can't hope to compete in that kind of market.'
That tag was so that google doesn't index comments. It was more about trying to remove comment spam rather than doing something about legitimate (ie not a blatant attempt to raise pagerank) blogs.
I know that sci-fi released the pilot episode (or was it the miniseries, I don't remember) online for free, but I wish other networks would wake up and let people buy season passes to certain shows. If they did that, I would cancel my cable in a minute (which is of course, the reason why they won't do it).
As it is, the two main shows I download are Dr. Who and Call For Help, neither of which are available in the US. If they were on my cable, I would watch them, but since they aren't this is the only way I can watch them. It may be illegal, but I hardly think that downloading something I couldn't even buy if I wanted to is morally wrong.
I would think that it would be pretty easy to eliminate a large number of blogs since most of them have "powered by " somewhere on the page or have directories on their domain that have the name of the blogging software. I'm not a programmer, but I would think someone could use the Google API to automatically remove sites that use blogger, movabletype, wordpress, livejournal or whatever other blogging tools are out there.
The newest MD players actually play mp3s but they wrap them in some drm. I bought a MD recorder for recording interviews and don't regret it. The hardware and format are top notch. It is the software and restrictions placed on the hardware that have killed the format. The newest disks hold a gig and the recorders are about the same width as an ipod but shorter (closer to being square). The abiltiy to buy 1gig disks for a few bucks is pretty great. If Sony had just let it play mp3s from the start, and not encumbered them with DRM, minidisks could have replaced CDs for both music and data.
I"m trying to move away from Windows, so I"m no fan of it, but as far as the MS Word thing is concerned, it very well may be that the university does offer a free or at least minimal cost version. I can download MSOffice from the univerity's web site for free, or I can go to the campus computer store and buy it for $10.
Of course this convienience makes it impossible for me to convince anyone to try openoffice.org since, in their eyes, they are both "free..."
The department of homeland security is the merger of soemthing like 22 seperate agencies, so terrorism isn't the only thing they are involved in -- it just makes it easy for them to call you a terrorist once they have arrested you for something else!
Hardee's uses women in marketing? All the ads from them I've seen lately have been big closeups of the sandwich or guys sitting on a stool talking to the camera?
And I'm sure that it won't be long before someone figures out how to block the ads in the games...
Ha! The joke is on you, I don't even have a sister!

He website has an announcement that sounds like she already had the press conference.

They are working on it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the article say that if you don't have a password you will get a blank page?
