Thankfully, my lil' county still uses paper ballots & #2 pencils. I did have to show my drivers' license to prove I wasn't one of the billion brown horde flooding up from Mexico. Being Kansas, I wouldn't be surprised it they nightly toss out the early ballots deigned not RED enough.
Prelude: About 2 months ago, I went into make sure I was still registered even though I had not moved or changed anything. The lady behind the counter found me in the roles and announced "Here you are: DEMOCRAT!" out loud, with the party said even louder, akin to a scene out of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. W.T.F.
Which means the BOM cost is probably around $400. The massive markup is passed along to the suck^H^H^H^H customers, so MomCorp doesn't give a crap about being soaked.
The SEC should start doling out stout fines for publicly-traded entities that do not release information that impacts their returns; to say massive security breaches don't hurt the books is a lie so large as to be indictable.
I would think going *down* 103 flights would be far more taxing on the leg and the owner, given the far higher decelerations involved. If this was done, forgive me for the glass half-empty 'tude. But if it was explicitly ruled out as part of the test, they're not done yet.
As self-driving cars age, their reaction times slow down, they leave the turn signal on, and they mistake the farmers' market for the mechanics' service bay.

The Seasonal Flu vaccines of today are an enormous headache for the pharma industry. Profit margins are extremely tight...
This is why they should have nothing to do with it. It should be solely the job of public sector professionals (being PUBLIC HEALTH and all), working on nothing else - say boner pills - but vaccine production and research; all well-funded and isolated from horseshit from any part of the political spectrum.
Some things are far more important that filthy lucre, air-headed 'stars', and pissing contests: preventing pandemics should be chief among them, FFS.
I wonder if all this news silliness is starting to affect their bottom line.
Personally, I gave up on Google News, given that any story even remotely connected to US politics always has an incendiary, right-leaning headline from Fox 'news', Newsmax, Drudge, or other GOP propagandists. I doubt Google is conspiring, but if they can't be bothered to guard their algorithms from obvious manipulation, eff em.
This is nothing; I personally hand-craft individual gasoline molecules and sell them on Etsy. Each one includes a certificate of authenticity and a knitted wool cozy.
If Apple had any respect for thier customers, this would default to off. But just like Facebook, even Apple has decided their customers are the advertisers, not the mere users (aka product). But the Samsung ads speak a bit of truth and among the devout, this will not even stir a teapot-sized tempest, for Cupertino knows best.

That has to be in the top 5 of incorrect word usage; fingernails on a chalkboard. Perhaps TFS needs to be written by bots too.
Yup. Koh-I-Nor Rapidomatic 0.5mm - 5635, same one I used in college in the early nineties.

I'm not sure touch interfaces are such a great idea. We risk oblivion if we ignore Douglas Adams' dire warning.

The real thing about standards is that the biggest corporate swinging dicks dominate the committees and have full control.
Pay no attention to the delicious but highly radioactive fig pudding byproduct.
