Without going into unnecessary detail, basically it is because the cell gathers several mutations, which screw up certain controls on the cell cycle. Thus the cell is eternaly in the 'growth phase'
To put it into somewhat geeky techno speak, these cells are equivalent to "magic" packets on a network with an infinite TTL. Just in case anyone couldn't understand what he said. Oh, and to use the word "equivalent."
ok, so the max number represented by 576 bits is
24733040147310453406050252101964719003513134910121
18399140630560928972251065318671703164010612430449
89597671426016139339351365034306751209967546155101
893167916606772148699136
While I am without the ability to actually check the number you've just provided, I know it should at least be odd, which your number isn't. The max # generated by 576 bits would be 2^576 -1.
2 times itself 576 times would be even. Subtracting 1 would then make it odd.
Since Qt is distributed under the GPL (not the LGPL), you must GPL your works, too.
This certainly is a new viewpoint for me. I thought the GPL only applied to derivative works of GPL'd software. If I want to develop "Bob's Foo Farm" as a closed-source program, I can compile it with gcc and not have to worry about the GPL. Unless GCC is inserting some code of its own into what it has compiled, then the GPL does not apply.
"My mom says there are a lot of black people in Africa"
But on a serious note, it would be nice to see the rest of the world jump onto the information superhighway. It'd be nicer to have the starving suffering people fed first, but hey.... can't win them all.
Jesus, Taco, you beat the open source drum all day and every day here at Slashdot, and yet you are planning on using a closed source program to power the site.
Just because he's an Open Source advocate (and rather vocal one at that) doesn't mean he should use what he views as inferior products to run his site. If he chooses a closed-source solution to better run his website, who are you to complain?
I have my D.Net clients rotates between RC5-64 and OGR so it's not a complete exercise in (your perceived) futility. My desktop (a Duron 750) is holding about 2 Teranodes of OGR-25 and cranks out 6 meganodes/sec. Too bad it has no connectivity.
I started over a year ago with the CSC challenge, and now I've moved onto the RC5-64 challenge because I have nothing better to do with my spare CPU cycles. Personally, I think SETI is pointless. And it doesn't hurt me at all that if my machine happens to find the key that I get $2000. I just see it as a way for my existing CPU to potentially help pay for my next one.
Microsoft was quick to respond to the outcry over the Smart Tags with "It seemed like a good idea." They proceeded to backup their statement with the example of Microsoft Bob.
The [An]dromeda virus wasn't from another planet, It was scooped out of the upper atmospere by a satalite.[sp]
The Andromeda Strain (from what I recall from the book) was a self-reproducing, mutating protein that did everything from dissolve synthetic rubber to kill a small town full of people (save a few whose blood pH levels were out of wack from the norm.) I personally don't recall anything about there being a sample container, but it's been a while since I read it. I remember the scientist crew finding a rock in the Scoop 6 panels that had the smidges of deadly things on it. Oh, and I also remember the lady with the epilepsy. But you are correct in the statment that there was nothing about Mars at all.
Titan's no good for the base. They have to put it on Phoebus to conform with the historical documents I found that came with my first copy of Doom. It's all in black and white. The demons spawned on Phoebus, not Titan.
but Blue Harvest was already used....
d'oh!
Please God no!
Don't let your operating systems duel. Playing with guns is bad, mmmkay?

..I learned about were kicked out of England for being prudes. No wonder we still don't have boobs on TV like in Europe.
If the Linux users aren't controlling the market, then maybe they're not 3L337 enough...

You are the weakest link, goodbye!

Forget the slashdot effect, how about a clean and clear demographic picture of the slashdot crowd...
If I were an advertiser, I'd know where to pump ads...

Wonder if you can get carpel tunnel from touching your screen too often...
Hell, I know people who probably developed carpal tunnel syndrome from touching themselves too often....
If this new protection scheme doesn't work in car radios, can I "protect" a few of the cd's owned by the little thug-wannabes in my neighborhood?

I invoke Goodwin's Law.
You lose.
Be quiet!
I order you to be quiet!
I could never understand what they were saying either. =/

I'm writing with a laptop with an Orinoco card sitting on my *lap.* Am I imagining a tingling feeling down there, or should I be worried?
Sure, your nads are being slow roasted, but with 11 Mbps of goodness.
[homer]Mmmmm, bandwidth[/homer]
I thought for a second that Slashdot was posting a story about a SIDS conference.
And I sat thinking "How are dead babies news for nerds?"
Guess I'd better start ingesting more caffeine more quickly.

Just my $0.02 (pro-rated for your ease)
