At least it's smart marketing. Average Joe doesn't know of or care about SMP capabilities. Slashdorks like us know that the rating system's a sham. All I see is a divided marketing tactic for a divided market. Simple for the simple, special for the special.
how are you getting 300 minutes per disc? I know you can record in Mono to double the capacity, but that still leaves me with 148 minutes. I'm just curious where you got 300 minutes from.
I don't see any complaints about the bandwidth issue when the memory is used in conjunction with the dual-memory controller IGP-128. If you look at the integrated video scores, the 420 board loses a large chunk of speed due to the use of the memory bandwidth for graphics. So if you're planning on using this board, don't plan on using the intergrated video for stellar performance compared to a regular GeForce2 MX.
I work part-time on campus for slightly more than minimum wage with the people who make sure the dorms are up and running. I'm around to make sure their network and computers are up and running and everything gets along. I didn't have to implement anything, I just maintain. It's simple, the people are nice, and I pretty much make my own hours.
If whales are related to hippos, then it could explain why they took to the water. With such large body masses, the density of water relative to the density of air would help to lighten the load of such a creature. If you could survive better in water cuase it was easier to move, you'd live there too....
Cartoon Network was butchering Bebop to hell and back just to make it suitable for viewing under FCC guidelines. If you're that desperate to see Cowboy Bebop, rent it or borrow it if you can. It's a great series but doesn't deserve to be mangled by censors.
I would like to (try) to be the first to thank the Slashteam, the editors, and all Slashdotters themselves for their response to this. I woke up and just happened to check Slashdot before I left for work. I arrived an hour late thanks to CNN and my own astonishment. Later through the day, while news sites went up and down, Slashdot's commentary provided ample links to news sources for those of us trapped in cubicles.

Oh no, I worked for the Air Force one summer and they had a HUGE Unisys printer that was running 24/7 conencted to a mainframe. They chunked it a few months after I left, but the main frame still lurks.
But maybe if CmdrTaco went on vacation to Brisbane, the Aussie Feds would show up and hold him prisoner a la Sklyarov. We can only hope and pray so....

Typically I have a smart ass answer that I would probably only think of.
Kind of like answering "Yes, with butter and ambrosia sauce" when asked if you like children.
Microsoft is getting sued by Eolas for patent infringment. Microsoft (while also litigating with Eolas) is also removing the infringing code from their product. It just happens to be (according to the article) support for the APPLET and EMBED tags. So it seems that Quicktime needs EMBED tags to function. I'm sure someone will find a way to write a plug-in to fix that.
I know it's from the Bhagavad Gita but I felt more like Oppenheimer after the release of the nukes against Japan. Except in this case, it was a froth of geeks congealed into the "Slashdot Effect" sent against a poor PHP clock.

Better to be pissed off than pissed on. At least in my book.

What's the difference between Afghanistan and Christmas?
Christmas will be here in December!
Wolverine has an adamantium-laced skeleton with retractable adamantium claws as well.
Smooth, sheek, deadly.
All the chicks dig 'em.
Pet martian rocks would be cool. Bring one back, paint a clown face on it, and use it as a paperweight
Which is fine and dandy until the Martian clown rocks start eating the children.... For God's sake, won't someone please think of the children???

Must be based on Slashdot's user agreement clause of promising to never read the articles.

It's an excuse for it's lack of speed? ;)

They've all sucked ass after the second one, which is the only sequel ever to be as good and better than the first movie.
Well, I'm personally waiting for someone to bankroll the sequel to Hudson Hawk.
