    It doesn't even matter that this group is selling 'look-alike' shirts. I've been mistaken for an employee two times in Best Buy by customers, once I was wearing just a regular blue polo. The other time I had a light blue button up on (perhaps I was a manager?). This shirt claim is a waste of resources unless they plan to eliminate anyone else everywhere from owning or wearing a regular blue polo.

    This assumes that grandma or grandpa ever left their game long enough to meet anyone IRL and procreate to have children/grandchildren.

    The biggest problem here is the new pricing scheme they plan on coming up with. Charging us more for limited rights (we are already demanding be free) will have no positive effect on sales. congrats.

    No, its just the nature of politics in the states. There are plenty of countries in Europe with much fairer political systems which do a much better job of representing the people who elect them.

    10 a day per launcher is right, except its a power consumption issue. The multiple launcher theory sounds good, but how much distance do you need to cover so that its feasible, based on the power necessary to keep each gun up?

    This is exactly why it seems many people (myself included) realized it was time to get out. No you cannot have my money blizzard, no i won't shell out for a new expansion just to sit in queues, and no I won't be wasting any more time grinding through the exact same slog again and again.

    By the second time I got to 60 I was tired and it was no longer fun. Speaking of which, anyone looking to buy an account?

    Thats just it, while this may matter to you and most of the other developers here, it wont matter to Jobs, because there are still many many people who will shell out the cash for the latest and greatest. Most of them probably won't care/be informed about the restrictions and lockdowns the companies have put on the phones... at least not until they try to do something they need and find they can't. By that time Jobs will be laughing all the way to the bank, and cingular will be mailing out your next bill.

    The Sugar UI looks very interesting. Jeff Atwood wrote about this just the other day. Its kind of refreshing to see a project like this break new ground in other areas besides hardware. Unfortunately there have been rumors that there has been zero usability testing so far. And yes, you can test it out for yourself, but maybe it would be even better to let your kid try it and email them the results.

    I think you are right, and am part of the same following myself. I played around with SL a couple summers ago, however it quickly lost its enjoyment and I havent logged in since. I also know that I am counted as a resident even though its been over a year since I last bothered. Those numbers are bloated and we all know the servers could never take much over 30K-40K online at the same time (if that).

    When I first saw this article I gasped as well. SL has already had a few stories in the news about hacks and crashes. I don't see how this could help their cause. Cash in your Linden$ now people!

    So with a wealth of knowledge from people around the globe, the best use of AI derived from this pool of information is to create a spam filter? Oh yea, this AI deserves some government grants. Can't anyone think of a better way to use this?
