i use php includes too - saves a hell of a lot of effort, but even so dealing with close to 2000 static page elements still leaves a lot of room for dead links, imcompletness etc... maybe some day i'll teach my self to implement a CMS setup. So does anyone have a dead link checker? i've never thought about finding one before...
So i'm guessing all the dudes who have been so blank-faced 'this consarnity new music!' in this thread are unaware of the Adult Swim connection?
DangerMouse previous recorded an album with brilliant US hip-hop artist MF-Doom as 'Danger-Doom' which featured cameo's by the Adult Swim crew (including Brak, Zorak, Space Ghost - and best of all the Aqua Teen Hunger Force). He seems to be getting really well known in hip-Hop scenes for his collabrative work; really funny stuff.
mafia would have been a hard game to make without them, the cinematic aspect is a big aspect to it, if everything is in mirst person all the time its harder to deliver movie style dynamics
reverse DNS lookups on what programs you watch = killer opportunity for content-specific advertising. just what the world needs, another medium to send you porn ads.
Google could just filter the phrase 'Louis Vuitton' (and any similar alternatives) from their search engine... if they're not happy with Google's search results (which is essentially free advertising for them), what's stopping google from just denying them service?
my household (which is pretty well wired and contains 3 computer geeks and a grand total of around 20 pcs between its 7 inhabitants) has about 15 of these suckers lying around waiting to be used, all in perfect condition. we had this grand scheme of reconditioning and selling the beauts at a profit, since they're virtually unbreakable and last a life-time.
does anyone actually use these things?, i mean 300,000 songs isn't exactly a massive resource to tap, and to spend at least $50 a month on this service (to meet the difference between the 2 services) just seems like a waste.. i'd rather take my cool hard cash down to my like vinyl store and pick up a dozen albums for that price..
haven't had a christmas bonus in 3 years (which was actually the first year at my company, and i'd only been working 3 weeks!)...
we've tightened up - the age old excuse that were too big for christmass pressies now... but meh, i don't complain, its not as if christmas really matters anyway
Whats kind of funny is that here in New Zealand when people think about Peter Jackson - its his splatter films Brain Dead, Bad Taste and Meet the feebles that come to mind. I recently went on an overseas holiday and while in Bangkok I shuffled through a couple of the VCD bins the street vendors set up - and what was the first thing I saw? Bad Taste! The wicked Peter Jackson flick with lines such as 'Looks like Darryls' gone Apeshit!' and a higher body count that Rambo II.
But we can't forget his two hollywood pieces, Heavenly Creatures and the Frightners, both filmed locally and both pretty good cinematic pieces (particularly Heavenly Creatures). Some people around here believe his the only current director who could pull it off - no Hollywood bullshit or elitist Indie Hip-ness - just a film-maker with a great sense of Fantasy.

spot on for sound quality - grado's rule, though they might be a little bit uncomfortable after a few hours non-stop

If the Back to the Future trilogy has taught me anything, its that Van Halen are the obvious choice in these kind of technologies...
gentlemen, gentlemen please - there's no fighting in the war room!
there's also http://www.metacritic.com - which covers video, music and even books, too

i doubt he could even collect every 'song' ever recorded by the artist witcyst, let alone more than about 5% of the total output of the world..
