I think the point the GP is trying to make, is that the Brazilian government is overreacting in a huge way, and this will drive away possible investment. Companies are expecting to pay taxes etc, but arresting a a large portion of their workforce, for what could be an oversight, is a very silly move.
Microprose made some really kick ass games actually.
I would absolutely LOVE Xcom Apocalypse to be remade (with some additions). That was one of the best stratergy/RTS games i've ever played. And the new After* series doesn't live up to it IMHO. I would install it again and play it all over again if I could find the disc.
Some new Mech Commander games would be cool as well.

This game freaked me out, in the last two levels I could only play 5 minutes at a time. I was so stressed out, that after playing I felt exhausted. But, it's by far the best experience I've ever had playing a game. So immersive, so freaky. I got chills just watching the Youtube clip.
Don't watch if you haven't played the game, just grab the game and play it:)
Just a few pointers:
The coalition isn't getting 'thrashed in the polls' anymore it seems.
The truth of the matter is that Kevin Rudd's broadband plan is insane. Firstly, before any of this started, OPEL were designing a submission for infrastructure investment for the national broadband network. They had already invested hundreds of millions of dollars and were planning to invest a couple of billion. If Labor's plan goes ahead they'll loose all of that because the government will be doing it all themselves (and we all know how efficient state owned organizations are).
Secondly, they plan to take the money from the future fund. A fund which was setup using mostly the proceeds from the sale of Telstra (more about that later) to handle the massive increase in super payouts caused by the large public servant retiring population in the next 5 to 10 years. This problem was compounded by the super contribution bonus's setup by this government, to encourage people to contribute to their own super fund. Using this fund to invest in a broadband network will NOT have the economic return needed to handle the super payouts. No where near.
I agree with you about the PM's understanding of the internet and its importance. This certainly wasn't helped by the previous IT Minister, Senator Richard Alston. Labeled as the worlds biggest luddite.
I have been following and using broadband in Australia since 1994, and Telstra has been slothful, monopolizing barstard company since before then. Since privatisation, it has become more competitive, but there's still a long way to go. I don't think splitting the company into smaller ones would have solved the problem because we just don't have the same market as the US did. What was considered was splitting Telstra wholesale and Telstra retail, but that was shelved, and I'm not sure why.
After playing Rocket Arena 3 competitively for three years on the pc, Halo MP feels like snails duking it out with pea shooters. That's not to say it doesn't have its challenges, or is never fun, but the controls and speed is too cumbersome compared to say, nailing a mid air rocket in RA3, fly-kicking someone out a window in FEAR:Combat or taking someone's head off with an AWP.
What I do love about the Halo series is the single player experience. Even though it's no Deus Ex or Max Payne story line, the map layout and scripted events are always entertaining. Not to mention the AI (marines for Master chief and fellow Elite for the Arbiter).
The co-op side of things is also great. You and your mate zipping around the tunnels in the human city, both in separate warthogs is quite an experience (except for when he runs you over when you hop out to grab a weapon).
All I know is that I've been putting off getting a 360 until Halo 3 comes out, so I'm at least praying that it'll be good.
Maybe what makes this different is he didn't need a bazillion dollars to set it up.
How was the flesh preserved, and not eaten by microbes?
Suddenly covered by sediment seems like odd explanation.
Like there was all of a sudden a large amount of water full of particulates put on top of this land dwelling animal. Then allowed to settle.
Weird
Do they have a copy of God's diary? How could they have figured this out?
Cheer up emo kid. Even Radiohead hate Pablo Honey. Creep is probably their worst song.
Also, I believe it was the media that coined the 'gPhone' pseudonym

Ok, just RTFA, not an oversight. But it's still heavy handed.

I agree!! The more and more applications that become Kerberised, the better! eg: the next version of CUPS apparently.
Also, after playing F.E.A.R the two sounds that scare me the most is those metal on metal shrieks, and the sound of static in your earpiece.

Sorry about the lack of formating.
That's the last time I don't preview before post.

Mod parent up!
heh... @grandparent: Dumb-ass.... Mod me redundant I don't care. But did he even read the first two posts before generalizing about Aussies?
More state Labor propaganda. Besides, I thought public schools these days were all about free expression of idea's, thoughts, etc.
