Guys, don't worry, I'm sure it's not the real lightsaber. The real one was lost years ago. This is a digitally remastered (better) lightsaber with added features and toys! Very soon you will be able to buy your own original (digitally remastered and better) lightsaber at your local convenience store and you too can shoot it off into space. And it really is a good buy, George Lucas has assured us the money will go to deleting the entire Obi-Wan Darth Vader duel of A New Hope and adding a new scene (digitally remastered and better, of course) with Ewan McGregor. It's going to be great!
Companies are using products and ideas for profit and to increase image? Wow, I never would have imagined that could have happened. Come on, anything that has influence will be used by the business world to increase reputation and income. It's just common sense. I love OSS and what it stands for but we need to realize that a business's job is to make a profit, if OSS does that, then they will exploit it. It's just a fact of life.
Well, it's obvious that they intentionally submitted fake data simply to sidetrack the world as they plan their final acts of world domination. We will all be occupied with this new data and they will blindside us, I swear it! Yet I will stand strong. Personally, I do not want to be placed into a pool full of a mutant sea bass with freakin' laser beams on their head (Yes, I've seen their secret plans). Do you?
"A feature for the upcoming Halo 3, that they've just announced, will be most welcomed by aging FPS players tired of hearing high-pitched squeals through their headsets. When such a voice is heard a hand reaches out of the console, grabs the gamer's testicles, and gives them a swift downward pull. This has been scientifically proven to decrease the high pitched voice commonly associated with pre-pubescent tweens."
Sounds fine to me.
According to this article" music sharing does not kill CD sales due to the fact that those that download music would not likely buy it in the first place. MP3 Players and P2P software have become the scapegoat of the music industry. They are trying to compensate for something they caused (by releasing music overpriced and more) by taking away from the consumer. It's completely ridiculous.
I think that we're all reading too much into this. The article is basically saying that if somebody is going to attack the US in a way that would be damaging to the country that US is prepared to retaliate...by any means necessary.
I'm not sure if I agree with everything in the article but it is the Government's job to protect this country and there are a lot of businesses and people that demand on the internet. If some outside source could mess with this it would be devastating to the economy and the country...
I agree with some parts of your post. I think that it would make a lot of sense that after being forced to answer these ads for a certain amount of time, the computer should become yours. Almost like an installement plan.
It is obvious that nobody is reading the article.
The summary adds sooo much stuff that the patent barely hints at.
Just because it's labeled Microsoft doesn't mean it is ALWAYS bad.
So this is basically almost the exact same things as companies that help pay for your car if you put an advertisement on the side...except more discreet, right?
I personally think this is a good idea.
It will help people that can't afford computers (and therefore can't get into certain lines of business) have one of today's most useful inventions.
I don't understand that part of the article.
Don't the magazine writers have free speech also?
Amazon is not denying these people the right to free speech, Amazon just doesn't have to listen to it.
When I first read the article I thought they messed up the title and were saying one right way and one wrong way. I guess not...
I think that if they would want to keep something like Tor quiet on the campus this is probably the worst way possible. If anything, it will do more damage.

My Ubuntu Christian Edition is great. Reinstalling every three days sometimes gets a little annoying though.
Whoa whoa! If you're saying Atheros broadcasts too far, what would the FCC say about my two Hormel Chili cans soldered together, artistically painted and decorated, with a confirmed distance of 5.1061 miles.
If that's true, who's the French?
Is it just me or do the majority of people that have need of something like this are not running Windows?
it does create some good-looking code.
All those other companies are working on solar power, hydrogen cells, etc. Well, now we have plutonium!
The way I see it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style?
Just run it through Slashdot's Poll. It will totally not be rigged if CowboyNeal wins.
Damn, all this world needs is another 5,000 people in blue suits.
All my energy went into my new Gentoo install last night, I'm spent.

What will they do when we learn to pirate iPods? HA! What then RIAA??

Is anybody else up for a Canadian Tea Party?

He obviously forgot to install a "firewall".
... Ok, I'm leaving.

Sounds like a John Grisham novel.
