Two angles only, but maybe if you got cuddly and placed your head on someone else's you might have some luck. There is a diagram of the film here It seems to suggest that with larger screens, the edges of the screen will fade out due to light not reflecting cleanly off the ridges of the film. Maybe this can be fixed by using variable sized ridges, but that would require a special LCD with variable sized pixels, which introduces new problems, and you still only have one viewing spot.
The operation works as follows. Taken from here:
"Sumitomo 3M utilized the directionality so that the light from the left LED light source comes to the right eye and the light from the right LED light source comes to the left eye. And the company enabled to view 3D images with the naked eye by synchronizing the lighting of the left LED light source and the display of the image seen by the right eye (and the lighting of the right LED light source and the display of the image seen by the left eye).
Furthermore, it is possible to show 2D images by using the right and left LED light sources at the same time and displaying the same image for both the right and left eyes. Therefore, it is easy to switch between 2D and 3D images.
If you say that the US debt is 10 trillion, then divide that by the number of people in the US (308,000,000) you get $32,467 per person. I don't know what the average number of people per household is, but I doubt it is 6, so 200,000 per house doesn't add up. 32.5k debt per person is alarmingly high though.
Actually, I'm pretty sure that DLC is a lot more difficult to pirate than you suggest. I believe that DLC has two signatures. One that authenticates it as official MS content, and another that ties it to the console. Taking a HDD with DLC from one xbox and inserting it into another will not work. MS will require you to re-download the DLC. I'm pretty sure it's locked down. You can SHARE dlc by downloading at one location, then signing on at another and downloading again which will allow the first xbox to have an authoritative copy, while the second plays "online" only.
Generally I do agree though, hacked consoles should be banned. There isn't really a homebrew scene, so the only reason for a hacked console is to pirate.
I don't see any problem with it. I'm no Apple supporteer, but how is this different than MS banning hacked consoles from XBL or Blizzard banning cheaters from their servers.
If you want to use a service, you have to play by that service's rules. Don't like the rules, don't use the service.
Xbox LIVE! is the online part of the XBOX. Speaking specifically for the xbox 360, it provides content of all sorts. The first thing that you notice when you connect to XBox Live (referred to as XBL here on out) will be the advertisements. Generally they are for new and upcoming games, peripherals, and new xbox features, but may also include advertisements for cellular carriers, food chains, or anything else.
Game demos, downloadable content, game updates, console updates, movie streaming and downloads are all handled by XBL. XBL tracks your game progress through achievements, but does not store save game data (at this time, hopefully one day...) XBL has social features such as a friends list and a list of recently played players. Voice chat is handled by XBL rather than through individual games, which allows for seamless cross game chat. XBL's matchmaking has something called Trueskill or Truskill that will assess a gamer's skill and match that gamer with others of a similar skill level. Leaderboards are also hosted by XBL and allow for competetion on offline games.
On the back end, I'm sure that there are detailed statistics on their users including number of games played, amount of time playing, skill level, etc.
As for your other question, I frequently look at other players' achievments, especially my friends'. For some reason, the sound that plays when you unlock an achievement is very addictive, and strangely satisfying. Looking at other players gives you an idea of which achievments are actually attainable (some are way too hard to get).
The theoretical max for wireless G is 27.4 Mbps. Reading a DVD at 1X is 10.5 Mbps. As I understand it, when you are transmitting from one wireless device to another, you are talking to the AP which then retransmits to the other device, effectively doubling your data.
So, starting with 10.5Mbps then doubling the data and adding overhead, you are dangerously close to the theoretical 27.4Mbps max.
Yeah, but my TV I spent $2000 on 7 months ago doesn't have a displayport. Neither does my xbox or media pc. I only have one TV in my man-cave so I don't care about daisy chaining. Don't care about touch screen as I sit on the couch. Display port is fine for computers, and I expect my computer to go out of date, but HDMI is fine for TV.
If you want to address the cabling mess, start with the speakers. I have 6 speaker wires running around my man-cave. It's a freaking mess behind the audio reciever.
Some Judges need to let some guilty people walk to teach the FBI that they have to play by the rules. I don't know how often that happens in the USofA, but clearly it's not enough. I know that in Canada, it is not that uncommon to have evidence invalidated because of invalid collection technique.
I washed my mom's keyboard in the dishwasher. It was really gross, and was just a cheap MS one anyways. It worked like a charm. Next time I was at their house, it looked like a brand new keyboard. I don't know how wireless keyboards would fare... YMMV
I don't know about you, but my internet is faster than 10 years ago, and for the same price. The cable in this area went from 3Mbps to 5mbps to 7mbps to 7.5mbps with speedboost (around 20Mpbs). That is for $45/mo if you don't have Cable TV. $35 if you do. I pay an extra $10/mo for 15Mbps.
I really just want an iPhone/iPod Touch on steroids
Why? Seriously, I would like to know. What would you use it for? A very large music player? A web browser that has no keyboard and likely is only useable in your house where you (presumably) have a desktop/laptop. Movies might be a good idea for it... I really don't know what this is supposed to be used for.

Clearly, you have never been to a real arena.
Well, if we're talking about things we throw, I believe my spear trumps your boomerang.
You didn't even need that. Once that game was loaded you could remove the CD. All you had to do was a round-robin game start and pass the disc around.
Maybe. Then again, adding an extra connector to a graphic card
Perhaps not, but adding one to your TV is a more costly venture.
You life would be so much easier without one little comma:
That, and I'll watch the kids do the laundry and cooking, and let her have some time to herself - Hummmm

FIDO! Here boy! Daddy's got a surprise for you...
No they don't. The chance that someone will win the lottery is closer to 1:1 (depending on the lottery).
Is everyone so cheap that they charge money when they invite people over to their house?

Haha, I see what you did there.
I have yet to find a game based on a movie that hasn't sucked.

Bad China! BAD! Now give me more cheap, exploitable labor. AWWWE, how can we stay mad at you!
Army of two, due out this week i believe.

When water converts to it's water vapour state it absorbs energy. This would create a cooling effect drawing the cold, heavy air down the tube.
