I have to imagine that if the unlocked price was below $400 (or even the price of a locked phone) it would of sold like hot cakes but unfortunately I think Google had too many external pressures to that prevented them from pricing it accordingly.
Instead, Google *flooded* the net with ads for the N1 hoping their marketing muscle would overcome all other obstacles.
The movie tie-ins are pure genius and uniquely Lego.. They have a good sense of humor and the new Lego sets are fun. As a 35 year Lego guy, it find the new stuff simply awesome.
The irony is that the Star Wars Lego sets are MORE Lego like than their 'original' sets they put out now. The piece on the Star Wars sets are more interchangeable while their "Mars" series has these HUGE molded pieces that can not really be used outside of the ship you are 'supposed' to build.
However, if you want to find something that sucks the soul out of Lego.. look no further than Bionicle.

Of course, Krugman actually advocated created a housing bubble in 2002.
I am (and have been) using VMWare Server and it doesn't seem to have anything missing from GSX. It seems to have a little more than GSX for that matter, at least with the new C API..
So far, every new version of Server has gotten better and better.. I am running it under Centos 4.3, Windows XP and Dapper and its been working great.

It was used to 'repeat' a MMDS wireless Internet signal.. Unfortunately, it was an analog... one way repeater.. The upstream was via a modem.
Dual core is the best thing to come down the pike in years.. I have always opted for a dual processor system over a 'faster' single processor box because for the type of things I do, run a zillion things at one time, having multiple processors made everything run very smooth. The only issue I had with recent dual processor machines I have owned is the intense heat and power consumption...
Dual core processors solved that problem.. I'm golden.

A lot of people, including myself, were deploying these units everywhere for all types of business use.
Things were getting a little squeezy because although hacking the unit was legal, not having Linksys officially 'bless' the process meant that at anytime they could change the floor beneath you.. making dramatic changes to the hardware in the next rev.. leaving everyone stranded. That seemed to be the direction Linksys was going in.
This new release of the hardware shows that Linksys is giving an official blessing to the whole proceeding.. I can deploy these things into the wild for myself and my customers with more confidence that this product line has a longer life.

AFAIK, li-ion batteries are FULLY recyclable.. so the batteries from the Telsa would not impose an environmental hazard.
RoundUp (which is Python based) is a great system..
Its self contained.. a GREAT email interface.. easy to setup and easy to extend.
Many apps require the .NET CLR.. and CrossOver/Wine still don't do that..

You can keep you system up2date without having to fire-up Windows Update.
I was just about to go to OSX but I tried Ubuntu Dapper.. and I was hooked.
Nuff said.
If you want to keep the files separate.. use Robocopy.. (free from MSFT)..
If you don't mind the files being in one glump.. use a Win32 port of Tar..

I am using VMware server now.. and its great..
All the work I do; making VMs, API based automation, etc.. works great on a Linux or Windows host.
Why would you want to run VMs on only a Windows host when VMware gives you choice?
