    I'm honestly not sure who they are catering too or what the business case is.

    #1 They still need staff to monitor the alcohol and make sure everyone is over 21
    #2 They still need staff to stock shelves
    #3 They still need staff to help you find whatever
    #4 They still need staff to prevent you from walking in without identifying yourself (namely, the GO phone app)
    #5 There is so much technology embedded in the ceiling that I have a hard time if will ever pay for itself
    #6 Like all things from Amazon, everything is covered in this horrid packaging. I would rather buy my carrots or broccoli without it being wrapper in styrofoam.

    We are never going to get to Mars so long as NASA is projecting on these time scales. There is no accountability to the current staff as the timespan is longer then their tenures. This is just a means to keep their paychecks funded and to show they are following the president's directives. We have the technology to launch in just a few years, but no one wants to take the actual risk, nor provide for a real amount of funding.

    My vote is for Elon Musk at this point.

    Sucks for Russia, Nasa, and the ISS. For the loss, that's a lot of cash and cargo.

    But this is great news for SpaceX and all other private space industry companies! They seemingly have a better record so far!

    That is, If you like frameworks that are bug free, extensively tested, universally known and hide a lot of the weirdness between browsers and browser versions providing a consistent interface, then yes, definitely learn it, it takes a lot of pain away.

    If you like pain, or always want to use the shinny new fancy thing, or want to learn all about IE9 and Opera edge cases. Then don't use it.

    Humans make good workers and good resources. To use your own resource argument, it would take a lot of resources to exterminate the humans. Why not help each other?

    Why does your imagined AI need to expand to the point to need all of Earth resources? And if it does, why would it stay to begin with then?

    Yes, use the cloud if you expect a lot of growth. No, do not use Microsoft products, they are great for the enterprise, but not for a one man shop. Use some nosql tech, Memcache, and some scripting language with your favorite JavaScript library.

    This summary is a bit off base. From the article:

    "HB220 would require schools to teach students that the U.S. is a compound constitutional republic and about other forms of government such as pure democracy, monarchy and oligarchy along with political philosophies and economic systems such as socialism, individualism and free-market capitalism. "

    Where does it say "force public school teachers to teach that the USA is a republic". Sounds like they just want to be sure the students are aware of all forms of government.
