Secondly, its a self fulfilling article its an article saying, there are lots of articles about the iphone, and by doing that, its adding to the number of articles, and amount of hype there is, if you don't draw the line at how many iphone articles, draw it at lets just keep them simple and no articles about the hype etc...

They waste alot of space on connections to the outside, many that aren't used. How about using the bluetooth already built in, to pair with a device which has ports which you can buy separately and comes as a separate object, so when not in use it can be stowed away, or (example I never use firewire) it can be cut completely. So a separate unit you plug your usb stuff into, and it transmits the data via bluetooth. Maybe not for say, displays, but I think it may be viable for sound, or usb, or firewire, may need advances in speed though, but it'd be interesting technology (and a bit of fun could be had yoinking your colleagues USB stick via bluetooth :P)

It has been a well known fact that some companies use their power to fix prices. For example, Oakleys sun glasses absolutely don't budge, you sell their glasses for less than they want and you'll never be able to resell any of their stock ever again. The same is mostly true of apple, where it comes to Ipods and such, their power is in the fact that they are the only producers and they have the distribution to hold products hostage.

Of course I like this in oakleys, because largely as a result of this security oakleys have very good customer service. Unfortunately not all companies carry this through, like apple, their customer service could be very good, but just isn't anything special (I'm not saying its bad, just not particularly good).

I read the article and if you actually looked at my comment you'd see, not only I read it, I gave a bloody example from it, how do you give examples from an article you haven't read, i'm intrigued. Secondly, yes there are moments but these moments quickly pass when you consider he is a clearly biased writer, I refuse to give credit to one writer who is clearly biased going and accusing someone else of bias. "It seems much of the article points out that the iPhone gravitates heavily toward open standards, which I find to be a very good thing." Which has been stated in many other articles and doesn't need to be bought up again, especially in this context of whetehr it will be successful, as this is a personal phone not a business phone, so the standards will generally not make much difference to many people. And as for the article not being about AT&T, it does have parts about AT&T and if you hadn't noticed the iphone is unbreakably linked to AT&T because you have to spend several hundred dollars on an AT&T contract if you want one.

In future post under your account name, stand by what you say, or do you not give what you say enough value to actually have the balls to stand behind it.

Okay, I'm being a bit melodramatic, but this article doesn't add anything plus it implies some real crap, for example when it implies an article by gizmodo about the shady past of AT&T is nothing but a weak smear campaign dragging up every tiny thing from the past, it's a well known fact that AT&T is not one of the best providers, and does have a bad record. I'd like to registeer my complaint about this, another iphone hype articcle, being here, right now.

Not to mention, RTFA, sony have refused to allow them to release on playstation and nintendo did the same for the wii, take two would need to recode this for the PC if they were to get it released at all. To quote the relevant part for you "The game was slated for a July 10 release for Sony Corp.'s PlayStation 2 console and PSP handheld device, and for Nintendo Co. Ltd.'s Wii console. I can't beleive they raised the issue of freedom of expression in order to defend this crap. Frankly it just seems weak when they say they want freedom of expression and that they are just trying to use the certain keywords in our society (like terror, freedom etc.) in order to create sympathy for themselves, but the misuse of these things do not wash, because when someone wants to raise a serious point they no longer have an arguement to defend themselves as these arguements no longer carry any value. And to add to that, they claim this whilst rolling over and giving up, so its like saying "Our principles state we should do this in the interest of free expression, but we don't stick by our principles so we'll just give up". I dislike what this game is, I dislike how they've handled the denial of distribution of this game, and I dislike the way this company acts in general making games deliberately to encourage violence, and anything else immoral just to make a quick buck, its not freedom, its moral bankrupcy.
