I'm not sure, but maybe peak power is delivered from capacitors or something (although i would have thought that this car needs maximum power at all times).
Nevertheless, something has to be the weakest link, and it shouldn't be the motor
But if the wireless bandwidth is too low in an populated area, wouldn't it make far more sense to reduce the effect and put up more towers? Since you can't easily turn up the effect on the phones the effect of the towers wouldn't mean too much anyway.
IMO you could argue the contrary: Because the pilots are far away, and not in immediate danger they might be more cautious as to whom they shoot. Also they are not separated from family, not plagued by fatigue and their friends have not been shot down by the enemy. All that ought to result in better judgement for the pilots.

At first I thought that the article was about computers. That gave the headline an entirely different meaning.
Sorry to bring this up, but that unit just strikes me as absolutely ridiculous (mg/12 oz). Why measure per 12oz instead of per oz? Actually, why not skip the oz and go all in on the metric system, instead of that half-assed job?
Can anyone explain this to the people (like me) east of the Atlantic?
Depends on your definition of "take". I'd say they didn't "take" it, but rather "copied", and so it isn't covered in the word "steal". AFAIK the laws agree on this.
Why is it so important for Mickey Mouse to become public domain? Or more importantly any Britney Spears song? Because copyright puts a strict limit on derivative works, such as sampling a song. Just sampling a tone or two is going to cost you a start-up fee plus a percentage of the income from your song. Some artists have been forced to hand over copyright on songs with 2-3 second samples in them. And using samples from more than 3 songs in your own song will normally mean that you'll have to pay up more money than you earn every time the song is sold.
Not that I'd want to sample Britney, but you get my point.
Umm, please explain to me how it's not exponential.
As far as I understand, if you can write it like this, it's exponential:
Y = b * a^x
In your first example, a would be 1.05, and if you want to double, use a=2
Think of Nickelodeon or Disney. They have their main channels. They pay money to either get, or produce shows for those main channels. Does Nicktoons, and ToonDisney pay that same money again to rerun them? No, but the studio does get another channel to sell advertisement slots on. The more impressions, the more money they bring in.
So you're saying that this will make people watch less television? Having two channels instead of one isn't going to help when each viewer can only watch one channel at a time anyway. And so, if both nickelodeon and Disney looses their extra channel, nobody lost, and nobody won (Unless people start watching less television)
I doubt it's legal in Denmark. A few years back there was a case where someone had put up a webcam covering a harbour-area, and even though the quality was too bad to personally identify someone, it was deemed illegal.
At first i thought it was a blogging-related buzzword run amok, but apparently it is a real word.
You learn something every day.

There's nothing to stop you from keeping an electronic copy for searching. It could even include page number references
Ever heard of Conspiracy to commit good business?
Or you could just use any media player that can read id3 tags and copy files. Foobar can do it, i suspect others can too.

I thought the same thing. Guess we'll see a lot of phones being software-capped to recording only 29:59 at a time
Maybe it could even abbreviate or hide the posts you've seen before

So you're saying it does get better with age?

Well, having an informed population might help on the freedom part, and education makes for a better future. Cheap laptops can inform and educate.
Freedom and hopes for a better future are hard to package in cardboard boxes, laptops are not.

It's as close to terrorism as illegal file-sharing is to stealing. Let's give them a taste of their own medicine
