My point still stands that the Dead Sea Scrolls are not under the control of the Vatican though, the Isreali government currently holds them. Saying that they are "secret" documents of a religion is like saying that all the dinosaur bones that are not available for public view in various basements and storage facilities are "secret" They aren't being kept a secret they are just being protected from harm, and used as sources of study. They also don't constitute "beliefs" of higher-level jews that are not available any other way. Also you can buy a digitized copy of all the portions of the scrolls that have been scanned for relatively cheap. The reason that the entirety is not yet digitized is again because of the delicate nature of documents that are thousands of years old and not because some church doesn't want you to know what they say. Also Catholicism != "All Christians" Christianity and Judaism do not require your membership in a church, they only require your study of freely available materials and application to your life. The fact that there are some scam artists who use Christianity or Judaism or Islam or Buddhism or etc. etc... Is just a symptom of the human nature that all of these religions are trying to tame. While the entire "religion" of Scientology is about paying money to advance.

This practice is nothing like scientology. Various portions of the Dead Sea Scrolls have gone on display all over the world, a digitized version of them is available to researchers, etc. They are full of duplicated content anyway. Also, as far as I knew, the Vatican doesn't even have the Dead Sea Scrolls, but I could definitely be wrong here.

I own a business in Arizona, and during the summer we start work at 6:00, when the days start cooling off and getting shorter we move to 7:00 then 7:30. Another added benefit is the the human physiology is more suited to an activity schedule that changes with the seasons. Also during the summer many employees opt to wait until shift end for lunch giving them an extra hour with their families. In the past we had not always had this dynamic schedule but upon implementing it productivity during the summer months went up greatly (no matter what kind of work you're doing, your body just doesn't seem to want to work at 4:30 in the afternoon on a 115 degree F. day)

If my neighbor gets sick, I and some other neighbors go answer his need without insurance money, just because we know that, when he's well, he will be making desks and cabinets and such in his afternoons. If I need a certain kind of desk, I go visit that neighbor (after he's well) and we draw out some plans, and he helps me work out the parts I don't know how to do.

That sounds great, except for the fact that people are involved. The only way for this to work is if every person continued contributing to the whole as they have been, once the concept of money is gone. The problem with this is that many people only provide the services that they provide because of two reasons, a. They know how/are able to do it, b. It pays better than the other things they are able to do. So what happens when all the septic tank pumpers realize that it would be more pleasant to just build desks and they could still derive the same benefits from the rest of society that they would otherwise.

People do distasteful jobs because there is added value (more money), once the value is gone from that there will be no reason to do it anymore. Then other people who need the distasteful services done will need a way to add extra value to those services in order to get them done which will most likely lead to the reinstitution of a standard of trading / money.

My issue is not with talking per-se, it's with the idea that LEARNING to talk is "effortless", it's not. The majority of Toddlers spend a fair amount of time frustrated because of what they are trying to learn. If you're a parent and honestly think that it's easy being that age than either A. you don't know your kid very well, or B. Your kid is super-human. Do little kids typically get their nouns confused all the time because learning to talk is effortless? Are parents instinctually wired to speak differently (slowly, smaller words, concise meanings) around their children because it's so easy and "effortless" to learn language? There are reasons that people are always shortening words and titles around little children, and it's because it's HARD to learn all the stuff that they learn every day. And adults know this deep down and do what they can to create a kind of transitional language for their little ones.
