Passport photos for minors expire every five years because youths' appearances frequently change drastically over time. If they didn't check the expiration date while you were travelling, then shame on them - but you should still go renew your passport. Once you're over eighteen, you only have to renew once every ten years.
Heh, this made me laugh. Can you see Gates being escorted out slowly by the HR head, all the young employees chanting "Dead Man Walking" as he goes by? That'd be truly bizarre.
Some people opt on principle not to break laws. The above information would be useful for them to know, if they value both lawfulness and pragmatism and are trying to make a decision.
I also work in the game industry, so people talking about pirating games does tend to piss me off. If you don't like the product, simply don't buy it - that is your message. Pretending your piracy is noble because you "stick it to the man" is a convenient invention to assuage the periodic pangs of morality which sometimes occur in the human animal.
If your Mac is not an Intel Mac, OR your Mac does not have a non-integrated graphics card, it won't be supported for Spore or any other Cider (Transgaming) Mac port. This includes all EA Mac games, but also other recent entries such as EVE online and anything else done by Transgaming.
I just wanted to point out what nobody has said (for North America, anyway) yet: If you buy the Creature Stand Alone, it counts as a preorder for Spore, in that if you buy spore at the EA online download thingy you get the CSA's price back off your purchase.
Now I'm not naive enough to think that that's going to stop most readers here from just warezing it anyway, but breaking the law is breaking the law; so for those of you who want to do it legit, this will save you money.
Also, any game on the 360 or the Wii is required by the manufacturer to run and function normally on a console with no storage space. So downloaded content being a requirement (as it is for MMO patches) is simply not possible.
Your post is hilarious, but I just wanted to point out that the Bond games you cited in your "pitch" were made by EA, while the new Casino Royale/Quantum of Solace game is owned by Activision.
I just really hope they get the poker right. Sure, put a system in that represents Bond's knowledge and ability to read people to help total noobs, but make the poker hard and let us turn the help off if we want. It was such a quintessential part of the first movie that any game without it will be, well, quite lacking.
They've since announced that neither Spore nor Mass Effect will require a SecuROM check any time after you install it, and that while you'll be limited to 3 simultaneous installs, they're nocd patch'ed by default.
Since it's a methods patent and not a design patent, it could be (not saying it is) for a particularly novel way of sending IM over phone that hasn't been previously done. Multitouch commands to send IMs and change windows, or an IM client that can flawlessly transition from edge to 3g to wifi or something.
But you're right, it could just be trolling. We'll find out!
The court held that the Congress exceeded its authority under the Constitution to exempt government entities from litigation under the copyright act. Wrong. The court ruled that the line that the legislation that you quoted there, in your post, was unconstitutional because it goes against the 11th amendment.
Actually, EBay acquired skype in September of 2005. Their stock fell from 60$ a share to just over 30$ a share between January 2005 and April 2005, long before they picked up Skype. Their stock right now is at 31.71 (as of market close Friday, today), meaning it hasn't ended up far from where it fell to *before* they picked up Skype.
There are a fair number of game companies in Boston, too - 2k Boston, Rockstar New England, Harmonix, Blue Fang Games, and Floodgate Entertainment, to name but a few.
The area's very residential/suburban. Traffic on local freeways was notoriously bad during the weekday commutes in the 90's, but infrastructure has improved and the economy has slowed down slightly. I'm from Mountain View, and the city is maybe 70% suburbia vs. the industrial zoned area across the highway out where Google, MS, etc. are located.
I doubt it - you'd have to change out the PSU as well, and the lack of guaranteed compatibility is not something I'd want to risk with such a pricey console. Just buy one of the slims and put it next to the old one.:P
Actually, I would have been citing my former Astronomy professor or former Environmental Chemistry professor if I'd been citing my sources, not wikipedia. Wiki just gave a useful summary of CFCs and their known effects. If you look at the NASA site I provided in my original post, it does, in fact, show the size of the hole diminishing over the last eight-ish years. The global reduction of CFCs is one of the great triumphs in international environmental policies, one of the only ones we have.
...against this? Or will it just get you in more trouble? What's the community's take on it?

A large segment of the non voting population is the under-18 demographic. Just so you know.

Hey guys,

I need a mod -1: Bad Font. :(
Apple's HQ is not in San Francisco, it's in Cupertino, CA. Steve Jobs does not live in San Francisco, he lives in Palo Alto, CA.

Made a mistake :-/ Why would someone make sense for paragraphs and then say at the end that should die? Sigh.
Stop being so corny, guys.

Mod parent up, please, very interesting post!

Actually, the hole in the ozone layer is caused by CFCs, or chlorofluro compounds, and is currently shrinking.
