DSL is limited on who can receive access and the largest cable provider is shutting down. Waht is going to be the boster that puts broadband where dialup is today? Wireless, Satalite? I hate to see this but for Gods sake if you run a company your not going to help yourself by anouncing way in advanced "..ohh yeah well we may have to shut down cause we are loosing too much money.." investers seem to dislike that!
think of how many 'great' bands you could just purchace for that much. Dokken, Kix, Winger, and probably enough left over for DIO and some pizza. Actually the system would be wonderfull if the price was right or if I were rich.
I love the idea of being able to handle civil affairs over the net. I am just afraid that this would push further the idea that internet access is some how an entitlement. There has been alot of talk about the 'digital divide'.

Elvil Dead 4... there are rumors that fly almost every week. After the success of the DVD's will this encourage you that making another movie can be profitable ?
I am just more and more impressed with the way AMD is going with there technology... I just hope that keeping the same "basic" archtecture doesn't hurt them in the long run. I am looking forward to AMD chips in the future
If you watched the cartoon there was some very funny refrences to a past love between Die Fletormousen and American Maid. To me the cartton was just so funny I don't know if the live action can do it justice. We will see
I not trying to put a damper on this news it just seems like console gaming has lost it for me. I just don't seem to be intrested... i thought well its because i am getting older but i seem to game longer and harder now than I ever did before... but I just don't get the same pleasure of of playing on a console that get from most computer games. I may be that most games I play have so many "additions" the fact that I can change almost anything in the game with a simple download or just the excitement of waiting for an expansion pack ie. Diablo II.
I still don't think that the media gets it! Linux is not reliant on the extenction of Microsoft. I didn't say this...

Its so funny how everything that goes on in the Linux community that is reported on, even by "tech-sauvy" news orginizations, has to do with the doom and gloom of Linux. It seems that almost weekly Linux is narrowly "saved" from total destruction. I think the media wants people to believe that Linux is so unstable and that the smallest dissagreement will seperate the whole community and send it into complete chaos.

CNN adds that Connecticut, and Wisconsin may be against it as well... seems that M$ is also under a European probe. Not sure how much money M$ makes in the overseas market but I know that XP is doing very well.
yeah thats always fun... i use opera 5 just so i can watch all the activity taking place when i connect to a webpage... nothing better than a dark room full of flashing little green LEDs.
yeah but can you get a good ping time on UnReal...plus the network is only good for 40-50 years then you have to worry about your router clogging and having to get bypasses!... a 200 billion a day packet loss isn't too good either
