Indeed, if I saw that cover without the tag "child pornography" as input in my mind I would have not thought of anything to do with child pornography in the first place, rather some deeper meaning, maybe what could have been the actual intention of the band. it supposed to be, but honestly don't expect to have everything running out of the box. A friend of mine installed it and now she asks why she can't connect wireless, why the graphics card is so slow, how to install flash, why the sound doesnt work and so on..well guess what? It will take the whole weekend to install the damn wireless drivers, the graphics accelerators etc to set the whole thing up..and I can see my self in a few days saying to her: "well the wireless works now but is not fully functional because "this" and "that" and all that kind of shit..but then again once you got everything installed it's the best operating system!" The moral of the story: If the drivers are not there by default (probably because it's a new laptop) then you are screwed!
17 missing pencils can actually encode 17 bits of information to transfer inside secrets to an outsider! For example:
If I transfer 2 pencils in 2 days that could mean a yes to a previous question, if I transfer 2 pencils in 1 day it could mean a no
I'm greek so I'll give a summary of what they say in the defaced site:
They say that they did not attempt to mess with any data in the system and did not want to destroy anything. In fact, they FIXED the bug that let them in. Mainly they just accuse some members of GHS (which i guess is another underground hacker team). The defacement was actually done in order to prove themeselves to other hackers, not to attack CERN itself.
Although typical Sudoku puzzles (with 9-by-9 grid and 3-by-3 regions) can be solved quickly by computer, the generalization to larger grids is known to be NP-complete.
i think o2 is now aware of the leakage and are removing the media. i ve searched google 5 minutes ago and got about 40 but now i get only 2 results. also the server seems to be down.
well you do have a point there, however i was thinking football and tennis. and a guy with a push button worked okay in the older olympics. now athletism has become a product for big money.
In fact that is what I was thinking, and why go into so much trouble? Ok is good practice for the technology, but the magic goes away when introducing accurate electronic equipment for sports...i mean the game is interesting when there is controversy and discussion..
Or put otherwise, is there a branch of AI research where you prove theorems rather than writing code? It is called Automated Reasoning and there are already some theorem provers out there like Otter or Prover9
Yes but can you define consciousness? Is it the internal processing in our brain helping to interact with the environment? Is it generating queries internally a way to simulate outcomes that did not really happened yet, but with those queries we may be able to decide for an action before doing it. Is consciousness evolution's way for survival? If so, can we actually simulate consciousness?
A man was inside the building at the time. He was taken out and treated for a minor cut to his arm.
Oh yes, this is /.

well, airplane bases are detected from spy satellites, so what if they want an undetectable base to launch aircrafts? You know, to surprise the enemy!
I see this is a joke but have not heard of covert channels?

Isn't there an event handler for closing the window as well? Then there is no way out, unless you kill -9 it

I wonder why no one else mentioned that. This will keep me away from Chrome for a while.

Or could it make things worse? (lots of tiny particles you can't avoid vs. a couple of big particles.
well, what we need then is a linux admin who has mastered that Asteroids game
The game is played by filling in a 9-by-9 grid

however there won't be a way to identify which is which as mentioned in a previous story where encrypted data could be throttled
