    and you are just a bunch of molecules. Yes, you are billions of molecules...each group reacting in their own way creating the human body, the brain, the neurons, the neural network in your brain, a system that eventually exhibits "self-awareness".

    I agree that it's not the ONLY indicator of intelligence, but what im saying is that the scores are not bogus, an IQ test is adjusted so most people can score 100. From that you can reason about something.

    For example if I want to draw a formula on a graph, how would I represent it? Is it going to be human readable? I could gather 100 people and see if they understand it, I would draw it in such a way such that most people can understand it. And that's an indicator of how people understand graphs so I can go on and use it (i.e. as a standard way of representing formulas)

    Understanding spacial or temporal events and able to coordinate or reason about is indeed one form of intelligent behaviour.

    In case you haven't noticed IQ is the acronym for Intelligence Quotient and the mean score 100 is the mean of the Normal Distribution for a large enough population.

    Personally, that tells me something!

    I don't understand some people's reasoning for doing otherwise

    When you die, or when you loose someone beloved, it's just easier to believe in God rather to say "you are dead, game over". In fact, your brain cannot accept that by default, for some reason... It just feels your heart and you don't die sad. Some people just don't understand this until the time comes.

    We have a hardware load-balancer and a software reverse proxy (varnish) in front of our apache.

    I kinda doubt this would work on us.

    Note, I am not inviting anyone to try. It might work great for all I know :(

    Computer folks tend to be introverted enough anyway; encourage them to get out a bit, instead of hacking alone in their dorm rooms.

    Oh yes, I felt so social when I was hanging around in the computer labs:P No, seriously now, when we had a deadline I loved how you could hear everyone typing so fast and thinking you are not the only one who's left this piece of work for the last minute! Good times:)

    I think many people are aware that modern AI has roughly the intelligence of an animal.

    I think that modern AI is not even close to the intelligence of an animal. I remember in our cognitive robotics course where we were shown a video of a bird figuring out how to get its food from a little toy trap that some researchers set.

    It was amazing how the bird used a piece of wire to make a hook in order to pick out the basket from the trap. I don't think AI would figure out how to do that (yet).

    I don't think dumbness will ever rule, there is always intelligence that prevails:)

    However, If i did a search process like hill-climbing I would probably get stuck into a local maximum, thus, sometimes I have to go down a bit (dumbness) in order to avoid it.
