Every fact on Wikipedia has a link back to the primary source. All you have to do is tell kids to look up the fact from the primary source and cite that, and obviously not to cite it if there is no link back or they can't find the material. Any teacher who is too intellectually lazy to take the time to understand this is by definition a bad teacher. You aren't allowed to cite Britannica in any real class either class either, you have to follow the exact same procedure, so there is no difference. I don't even see how someone could defend a teacher who would lie to kids about the purpose of an encyclopedia.
As I can see from outside the window there is a lot of police force indeed at the Victoria spaceport. I would suggest the human mods consider the parent post as +Informative!
bad idea for sure, truly epic bad idea if you have sensitive information/ your hardware address can be sniffed and repeated at a later time. You could use classic symmetric key cryptography, but then again someone could sniff the encrypted "unlock" message and repeat it at a later time too. Then you could add nonces as timestamps or use another method, but it becomes more complicated as you go and I would suggest you stick with the old fashioned type-in-your-god-damned-password method.
I see alot of posts above complaining about slow streaming and buffering, but I have to say here in the UK it seems to be working fine. The whole song loads up in 50 seconds.
Put some wireless sensor nodes across the bridge and sense for unusual vibrations between the intersections. That's what Wireless Sensor Networks is all about. When there is a crack the vibrations will cause a signal to be sent out.
Exactly, there is "prosopagnosia" which is what you may have, thus face pin would be difficult, although there might be some characteristics that may help (some research in psychology could improve face pin). Try the link I posted, I found it very interesting:)
I did some research on usability analysis for "Face PIN" (face number don't make sense but anyway), which does not replace the PIN but instead it helps you reconstruct the number using a grid of faces. It seems that people tend to remember faces quite easily. It will also eliminate any social engineering since your faces cannot be communicated verbally. One scheme is to use 4 different grids of numbered faces where each face represents one digit in your PIN. Those grids can be placed on the back of your credit card. There are drawbacks and solutions as such, ofcourse but I'm not going to mention now. Check this site which has a similar scheme about faces: http://www.realuser.com/
Face PIN is already patented, I'm just doing the usability analysis.
This is quite interesting actually, maybe it depends on the simplicity of the individual in order for the colony to be smart. Ants are not smart, they are doing simple routines. People on the other hand have passed that level and now we are in chaos repeating a pattern maybe:)
What makes ScienceHack unique is that every video is screened by a scientist or an engineer to verify the video's accuracy and quality. Like Dr Quantum: quantum physics

S: What are the odds of two buoys failing?
T: Remote.
[another buoy seen on the computer screen fails]
S: Make that three.

I have one of those noisy nx9010 notebooks and indeed it sounded like a constant whispering. But I can live with that. I'm fine...
Now please excuse me while I go put on my ears from the cleansing jars.

if it was smart enough it should backup itself!
Does this tax apply per device? What if you have a WSN consisting of hundreds of wireless sensor nodes?
The RIAA is attacking the pirating problem from the root: Ah those damn hippies:)
The moral of the story here is obvious: ALWAYS check for monitor applications before you start 'fixing'!

better to have a robot burning all the weed otherwise you might end up like that: high reporter
the virtual court should sentence the virtual guy for the rest of his virtual life in the virtual prison!
What's next? the virtual death penalty?
No, this must be a post from the future. Which means in 2050 there will still be issues for wireless cards on linux:/
everyone start sharing goatse material with torrentspy. The MPAA will freak out:)
we all know that true geeks use telnet for IM with other geeks
