This new version of Windows is corrupting my flash drive and causing videos to flicker along with a list of other problems. I think I'll stick with Vista.
In fact I usually search for them or hear them from someone whose seen it before I play a game or watch a movie. People will always want to whine about something.
But *please* stop trying to justify it by saying that someday it'll make all Windows code 'just work' on Linux.
No one thinks Mono is designed to make Windows code work, the Windows API is the Wine project. Mono will someday make all.NET code work however, possibly in conjunction with Wine.
I need to access the registry, the windows system directory, the program files directory, and the local user directory.
Why? Is there any particular reason your non-malicious application needs to write to the system directory and the registry? User settings should be stored in the user folder which by default they have write access and not in a public folder.
Really? So if say one wanted to watch video using a non-nvidia card without flickering how do they switch to X11 render or disable Compiz without resorting to google to find out how to use gstreamer-properties to switch to X11 or/usr/bin/metacity --replace to disable Compiz.
Also you need to find out that video will crash without installing the apparently dubious restricted drivers.
Not if your running as a limited user. If allowed to run while a non-administrator is logged in Windows Update will display a countdown timer along with a very helpful grayed out postpone button.
Your prices are very strange, $75 for a pair of headphones? Also the default HDD is now 60GB.
How about: $400 for the Elite which includes the 120GB HDD $50 for the extra controller $40 for two recharge kits. $50 for a 13 month Xbox Live subscription. Use wired instead of of wireless. (Doesn't support WPA2) No need to backup data to a memory card.
$540. There might also be bundles or discounts for an even better deal. Plus whatever you spend on a tv if you don't have one already that you might also use to... watch tv.
Only if you want to change the default configuration, which by default blocks the majority of ad patterns.
Privoxy can be used to block advertisements through any software that supports proxying while Adblock only works within Firefox.
It's not as if Epic has ditched PC to concentrate on consoles; the console version has all the same problems plus a lack of any customization that might be available on the PC, there's been no updates to attempt to fix the problems for the console versions at all.
I believe Epic has pretty much given up on UT3 to concentrate on Gears of War. Bastards.
Firewalls block WAN. If you require external access it could be possible to do the authentication at the router/server and not give direct control to any external device.
Your picture shows Deep Freeze's ability to crash a laptop. It also doesn't mention anywhere that the laptop being shown is running Vista.
Deep Freeze may be installed on a store computer to easily remove changes customers make to a laptop while trialing it.
Flaw? It's not a flaw, it's a feature!

Microsoft is glad they didn't buy Yahoo.
How to look like a dick by promoting your website. Should write a book, not that anyone would read it.
