$30.00 rechargable pay per use cellphone, and a $10.00 100 minute time card. Now not only do you have an emergency phone you can dial 911 with, but you have one that can be used anywhere (as long as its charged or plugged in) you can take it to your car, etc.

And really in most emergencies you dont just need to dial 911, husband/wife, kids doctor etc.

And most of the time cards are good for 1 year, some for longer.

What this system does is lets "internet friends" know where you are, so lets say you have 5 friends in real life, but hundreds on this site (your a bit of a shut in, we know) This will let those "internet friends" find you and meet up.

Say there is someone who you have as a friend listed in your city, and you get a message from them saying, at mall, while you are in the mall, this would allow a great way for social interaction with people you havent meet, but know you have something in common with.

I know their are limitations on distances these can umm "see", but it seems like this would be a good solution for finding items in our solar system.....

Full well knowing that the prior art is there, and the fact that Apple would patent this idea shows that they are not above trying to lock competition out of innovation. My car stereo can do this, change lcd colors, movable animated images on the screen, buttons that can have colors changed from a program. Yes it does include the ability to control it from software, but that still doesn't mean they can not use this patent to control the ability to sell modified cases for Macs. Case mods are popular in the PC world, well now it will be popular for Macs, with Apple being the only person legal to sell the mods.
