I don't see what this has to do with the GPs point.
This is batshit loony crap.
The schools here in Australia once taught sex ed as early as 4th grade, not sure if this still happens, however I have never been sexually abused, and have never sexually abused anyone. My parents were teaching me this stuff at a younger age than the schools as they felt, and I agree with them, that knowledge enables children to make sensible decisions based on fact rather than guessing or complete lies.
If you want to "think of the children", how about targeting media agencies that sexualise children? A law that enables children/teenagers/adults to make informed decisions should always take precedence.
I really hate when they try to use piracy as an excuse not to develop for PC.
As an owner of both a PC & an Xbox 360, I can say that I've bought 1 360 game in a year, but pirated many. I've bought a LOT of PC games over the last year (MMOs & via Steam mainly), and pirated maybe 1 or 2.
While I can understand the frustration with having to make games scale, it's just a lame excuse not to develop or just to port games over.
I really get sick of these articles on the state of PC gaming being written by developers who make games almost exclusively for the console. Not only this, the games TR makes are either rehashes/flat out repackages of old games, or just really lame games. I mean, come on, why would we listen to a development house who hasn't made a PC only game since 2001 (the only PC games since have been BloodRayne & BloodRayne 2, which were bad ports).
Any gamer with half a brain sees the gaming world as a complex ecosystem that has room for consoles and computers. Sitting there and decrying a platform because it's "too hard" just shows how bad your developers are, not how bad the platform is.
Valve doesn't pay for the DLC servers on steam unless you download directly from them. The rest are local mirrors, selectable via the steam settings.
Do we pay for each match when it's hosted on EA or MS servers? Didn't think so, we pay for XBL subs so I think it's a bit rich to say we shouldn't be allowed to have free downloads.
I find it interesting myself, I personally don't keep track of every milestone of science & technology waiting to celebrate the day when it hits 10, 20, 50, etc, years.
Maybe you should start your own site that purely focus' on news.
I once did play it back in beta, many moons ago, but left after 1.5 due to it turning into a hang out for pre-teens and elitist dickheads.
My argument isn't that the game is superior, it's about the community. I dare say that any game that's name includes "promode" would attract a large number of elitist, not that I've played it.
You know, games are meant to be fun, not having some whiny 12 year old tell you that you fucked up because you're not a twitch hound (I'm getting on in the years now).
This is highly off-topic, and I really don't think your post adds much other than betraying your desire to troll.
I never said it did. Your attitude seems to echo exactly why I don't play. Your taking the amount of players as the quality of the game.
WoW has much more players than CS:S online, but I still rate WoW as a pile of dog shit because of elitist attitudes.
The more you struggle to justify the reason the play a game the more you reinforce mine (and many other's) stances toward games taken over by elitists.
Yeh, it's fully justifiable to commit war crimes...
Preserving rights for their own country while destroying the lives of the Palestinians, sounds like the same rhetoric we've always heard. From what I can gather, the Israelis themselves are getting kind of fed up with this bullshit.
FYI, it is on topic - can't praise someone's steps forward without discussing their steps backward.
In fact, the Wii doesn't even require you to open it to pirate games for it. You can even load them on to an external USB HDD and load them from there...
Yeh, because I can't pirate games on my 360... I don't at all have a copy of ACII on my console that I didn't buy, or MW2, or any of the other games that aren't sitting in a pile in my lounge room.
Nice, you've just contradicted every security researcher over the last however many years. Congratulations on coming across as a fool.
No matter the security flaw, it needs to be fixed. ANY security flaw, no matter how obscure, will be exploited when it's known by the public at large. There is no such thing as "security through obscurity", it's a myth created by lazy programmers.
That was going to be my question. Pretty much I use Chrome for most of my browsing. If a page doesn't work, just IE tab it. Not even game to use Firefox these days due to sluggish performance and continual crashes.
I was, at one stage, a HUGE fan of Firefox. Before Mozilla fucked it up like they did with the original Mozilla/Netscape browsers.
This segment of the market is the biggest threat to the general-purpose computer.
Wow, that's just a big bag of crazy.
How does a mobile gaming device threaten the general purpose computer? I'd say it actually strengthens it.
As far as locked down devices go, phones have always been fairly locked down, same as PDAs, gaming consoles, etc. I can't say I've seen an open source gaming console take off. This is not to say I'm against open source, far from it, but you have to give respect where respect is due.
I really can't understand this luddite attitude that seems to rule on a tech site. "This will destroy x" is almost the catch cry of some posters here. It's actually very sad.
I'm not saying to blindly embrace technology, at the same time, blindly rejecting new technologies is worse.
The whole point of the removal was to thwart Gehot's efforts on the PS3 hack.
I'm not 100% on this, but I really don't see Sony taking this lightly. They want to remain unhacked, so this is the way they see fit.
To me, this expands the base of people hacking their console.
I don't see what this has to do with the GPs point.

I'm going to start using qwyjibo as often as I can...

Exactly what I was thinking myself. Runs fine here.
Valve doesn't pay for the DLC servers on steam unless you download directly from them. The rest are local mirrors, selectable via the steam settings.

Well, just to throw a spanner in your works.
I have a console, and a PC (obviously). I game on both... I have pirated games on both. It was actually easier to copy ACII on console than PC.
Your move...
If you don't like it, don't read the story.
I find it interesting myself, I personally don't keep track of every milestone of science & technology waiting to celebrate the day when it hits 10, 20, 50, etc, years.

Thank you for doing my job for me.
And this attitude is exactly why people will play LoL over HoN.
Elitist attitudes are never welcome in any game. It's why I will play TF2 & DoD but not CS:S.
Wow, that's the complete opposite to LoL. No vote kick, just a vote surrender.
If you bail from the game, you can't reenter a new game until the one you initially entered has finished. You can reenter the game you were in though.
Seems a bit elitist for me, I think I'll stick to LoL then.
Not sure what game you've been playing, but I've had great experiences with this game.
The whole point of these games is to have an imbalance, you work together rather than soloing it... maybe that's your problem.
I do recommend LoL if you're interested. Not sure what HoN is like, but it almost looks identical to LoL apart from some minor interface differences.
I hate replying to myself, but it seems the zionists have mod points today, not enough to mod everyone else down in the thread. GL with that.

The system that the US government ignored until it suited them?

Nice rationale.
It's not just Europeans thinking this...
Yeah, just remember that genius and madness are only separated by a thin line.
Isn't it "The distance between insanity and genius is measured only by success"?

Wow, surprised we can all hear you from way back there in the 1800's...
you mean something like this?
