I am in the IT industry and internet slang and emoticons are pretty much the norm. Mainly in IM communication in out department. We use Jabber and in daily communication it is not unusual to have a smiley or lols thrown in the chatter. i think it all depends on what field you are in an the type of communication you are using.
In an email generally these aren't accepted practice for business, but we do throw them in here and there for less formal occasions.
Zing!, considering the private sector is just getting into the gig i would expect some complications, and it is always inevitable that someone is going to die do anything. But with NASA the public will never be able to go into space flight, where as with private companies, it may be expensive, but the public can go into space for a brief moment.
Hopefully with privately owned space flight in the works, it may help with the travel times across the globe.
i went there a few years ago and it's not really trashy at all. then again i stay down on like 100 something street and it was practically a private beach there. I really don't like the beach anyways, If i want to sit in the sun, I'll go on my porch and relax instead of sitting in the sand.
So if you can become fat by hanging around people that are fat, then shouldn't some fat ass lose a bunch of pounds hanging out with thin people? If the answer is no then this whole theory is crap.
You could take it further too. If a guy hangs out with all girls, would he turn into a girl? I mean I hang out with several large people and i am a slim 140, where as my buddy is like 500.
I think the original halflife had a good story behind it, and as they added mods for it the story was played through different angles, with specific points relating to the original story. Like in Opposing Forces, you played HL through the eyes of the marines involved, then in blue shift you go to go through the story as a black mesa gaurd. I even played a user made mod that had you play as a an alien and see their side of the story. With a basic plot line of Scientists cause a problem and open portal to another dimension, they did quite a lot with it to let you see it from many angles.
Another mod for HL1 was They Hunger, which had a pretty decent storyline, it had 3 installments and was a zombie based game. In all it had a good story to it.
So to sum up FPS games can have good story lines, but depending on what the game is a bout and when it is set matters and might limit what story can be conveyed.
I can kind of vouch for this. Usually when I have my first smoke of the day I have to use the can soon after. I always thought they just put laxatives in cigarettes..
I totally agree with you. I never take any of these studies seriously. They always leave information out or misinform. I still say that if games were a major factor in violence and crime then no one would be able to walk out their door with out being assaulted.
what is this? Over half of all boys agreed with the statement 'I play electronic games because I like guns and weapons. They don't give all the facts. How do we know that this survey wasn't set up as such.
Why do you play electronic game?
A. to learn
B. I like guns and weapons
C. I have no friends to play with
I mean seriously, these studies are always bias towards wither side. You only ever hear about the "bad" stuff and that's it.
Half life for example it in itself a fun FPS game, but in single player there is a lot of puzzle solving and such to be done. Same as doom ans Tomb raider. This show that learning can be fun. It might not be traditional learning, but if makes of educational games take a page from that I think it would help a lot.
wow it was a typo, i would have fixed but there is no edit button
I am sure you have made typos before, seriously, you are the one who needs to grow up.

Yes, the first ATM was invented during medieval times, when they had a midget in a box dispensing gold coins when presented with a certificate of ownership. This was short lived due the midgets dieing frequently and some just being carried off in their boxes and robbed.
This guys was just aggravated that he was almost 40 getting helped by an 11 year old. But if you think about it during the summer a child can play all day, where as most adults would have a job, I hope. When I played wow, i played with people from all over the age spectrum, the only thing I found annoying about being on vent with younger kids was trying to watch my language, i tend to curse a lot. But i never had a problem with omg this is a kid helping me, who cares help is help take what you can get. I am sure this guys E-peen just shriveled when he heard that kids voice. OK rant done have fun.
They is not protection at all on credit cards. My friend has one with his picture on it. So asked him to let me charge our drinks on it at the bar. I went to the bartender that didn't know em and handed him the card with the picture showing up. He run it up and gave me the receipt to sign. No questions asked. Anyone can use anyones card when ever they want and get away with it, I mean my friend and I look nothing alike at all. I am going to try the same thing with a girls CC and see if it works too. Most places don't give a crap about whose card it is they just want the money.
I think those fellows at Initech had it right http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkFkDEEQEgA
Hail Hail Robonia, a land I didn't make up!

Which is silly, cause we have a lot of our own oil tat we never use. Plus we have plenty of places to drill but the EPA won't allow it.
In Ocean City, Maryland the beach is free, people in Jersey are getting ripped off.
