Believe it or not, it's been done, albeit as part of a Portuguese comedy show, set in a bathroom accessory store that doubled as a film studio. The director films it, and then the producer feels it needs to be sexier, and the result is this.
Actually, there's a Land Rover (can't recall which) with a pretty ingenious solution, so that the passenger can watch video and the driver cannot. If you looked at the screen from the driver's seat, you'd see the GPS navigation. From the passenger seat, you'd see whatever video you fancy playing at the time.
I've heard that said before, and I really don't see what the problem is. Every single one of the unlockables in TF2 represents a trade-off. None are actually "better" than the stock weapons.
Well, I seem to recall that Windows apps putting stuff in stupid places* without giving you any choice is the reason why you need administrator permission all the time in Windows...
* Well, at least a lot stupider than putting pictures in a folder under your home dir, named "Pictures".
You're really uncreative. What about those on-screen keyboards banking sites use? Just access the display data, combine with a click logger and presto! You now have access to a person's banking.
Actually, a problem that's conspicuosly absent is: what happens on a steep downhill? Sure, the gearing is limited to 25 kph but then... if the gearing is fixed, you'll need to push your feet backwards to make it go slower (bad for your knees), or else revolve your feet like crazy. If there's a freewheel of some kind, that problem is solved, but in either case, you may encounter "traffic" at the bottom of hill, at a much bigger delta-v than the thing was designed for.
If it is a single player game I'd like to be able to run without Internet access.
Just curious, do you have problems with running in offline mode? I mean, I hear a lot of horror stories, but it's worked pretty reliably for me, so far.
Could it be that Linux may soon support this Microsoft API better than Microsoft itself?
On a marginally related note, I've actually had something like this happen to me. I couldn't get Railroad Tycoon 3 running in Vista, and it worked just fine under Wine.
Back on topic: the submitter misspelled "eventually".
Portugal has a similar voter turnout to the US, even with proportional representation, so either a) we Portuguese are outliers or b) that assertion is wrong.
Ah! The wonders of single-use zoning!... In most places I've been to, the way it actually works is that the ground floor gets used for commerce, while the rest of the building is residential.
No, they are not "exponentially" more useful. Stop misusing that word.

This looks like a decent idea, but... where can I find it? It's not on the market and blindtype.com seems to have died, so where can I try this?
SlideIT and Swype are, indeed, excellent. You still can't use them without looking at the phone, though.

This just in! Criminals are more effective while they are unknown to whoever is fighting crime! More at 11.

Visual Basic/C# are pretty cool. Visual C++, on the other hand has pretty much stagnated, and there are better IDEs out there.
Given that they went episodic in order to have more frequent updates to the series, I'd say it's way past time.

OK, so how is the discovery of a new penguin species in any way relevant to Linux? What was the submitter (or the editor) smoking?
Edgar Allan Pwned!!!

Point taken. It's just that where I live, that would pretty much be a non-starter.

It beats needing to amputate a leg. :)
The thing is... that report was bullshit. It pitted Google's search traffic versus Facebook's total traffic. That's hardly fair.
People were talking about Starfall a few days ago, on an edutainment story. It sounds like what you want.

<pedantic>That would be one-bit encryption.Two-bit encryption would have four different keys.<pedantic>
That is genuinely the first time I've seen "Blender" and "easy" in the same sentence.

Nonsense. "Some routing efficiency" != "Routing optimality"
