There's no network access down in the tunnels so the paper provides a good snapshot to read...
Back in the day, we had something better for that use case... it was called AvantGo. I guess some people today might use Plucker, but it's just not the same.
Because of the daemon feature being added in this release, I was more surprised than I otherwise would have been: when I finally managed to compile emacs 23 for Solaris 10, it started much faster than 22.1. It really is almost instantaneous now even though I do have plenty of customization going on.
Hard to beat the price as you've laid it out, but the web browsing experience on the T|C is not very satisfying by today's standards. The combination of 320x320, 802.11b (not g) and PalmOS makes me normally prefer to cross the house to use a desktop PC. Though it is convenient for ssh access to try to restart gdm or cleanly reboot a machine whose screen and keyboard has locked up for some reason.
I don't think the rabbis would let them use it one day out of the week.
Saving lives overrides the Sabbath. Although there are debates about how much of a threat there must be, I would be surprised if someone would claim that an incoming rocket doesn't qualify. Also, if the system is fully automated then I don't think leaving it on would pose a problem in any case.
You don't want a sync tool: You want an online bookmark manager. Head to sitebar.org. You can keep your bookmarks on their server, or run your own server if you prefer.
I use the online version of TurboTax, which works fine in Linux (though it complains a bit), and for federal-only it cost about $20 total with efile. I do the state ones on paper because I don't feel like paying $60 extra for two states.
Sounds great. Unfortunately they also license their name to third-party companies who don't respond to forwarded complaints about merchandise that falls apart.
Docs for my V190 said roughly the same thing... imagine my surprise when I plugged a 3rd-party cable into the phone and a laptop running Ubuntu dapper, and the phone said "charging..."
Maybe so... but then once I have stuck it out for two years (six actually, but most recent 2-yr agreeement just ended), let me keep my existing phone at a reduced rate. That was never suggested when I complained to VZ that their plans were too expensive for my usage patterns, so I jumped ship. I would have switched to VZ prepaid if they didn't have that silly $1/day charge, since I already had the phones.

luser no way. if u r a virus then wheres the download link?
bot: right here
luser: I still don't believe you. I'll just click right here... see, nothing happened.
(bot goes away, download kicks in later.)
I hate the separate search box... it's the #1 reason I'm still using seamonkey. I have grown quite accustomed to only having one location bar to click and start typing in.
Mandrake contribs since 9.2 contain a package called camdump. It's a very simple program that copies all the new pictures from a gphoto2-supported camera to a predetermined directory. It includes and uses SWIG-generated Perl bindings for libgphoto2.

He is using the computer's clock. But that's not quite enough. This year Chanuka began on the evening of December 19. Next year it will begin on the night of December 7. Computing the phases of the moon doesn't seem to be built into my BIOS, is it in yours?
I almost never touch the category pane... they auto-fill. I type He[tab] and GC fills in Hess / Auto:Gas / and the amount of my last transaction, selected so I can change it.
Everyone said the same thing when ATMs came around, "Oh no, they're going to replace actual tellers!" But it didn't, banks still hire quite frequently for bank tellers.
It's good that there's choice. On the other hand, in the last five years the only time I actually spoke with a bank teller was to ask if the broken ATM in the front of the building was the only one they had.
So the boss (let's say a small ISP/ASP owner) calls up the sysadmin in panic (or rather knocks into his house if answering the phone isn't allowed either), saying the server/database/RAS/whatever has to be back up right now, and the sysadmin answers "Sorry, no can do, we're in the Sabbath"????
If the sysadmin answers the phone, don't buy it. I won't answer the phone or touch my computers on the Sabbath, so I won't be a 24/7 sysadmin. Probably some people make arrangements to have others cover for them.
I have been using this setup too. The Wine from Mandrake 8 worked fine... the ones shipped with Mandrake 8.1 and 8.2 were broken, but the one I grabbed from cooker a month ago works well with Quicken 2001 except for the net functionality, which I don't use anyway.

(just a mostly happy user)

I seem to recall something about some other baby bell, can't remember right now but its name started with V?

Can you back that up with a reference?

But the return check more than made up for it.
Spoken as if it wasn't already your own money.
The fans have figured it out for them. (Haven't tried it myself.)

The security card I use for work functions while it's still in my wallet. That's not a feature I want for my credit cards.
There's a credit for taxes you paid to other states, if those states have similar credits for taxes their residents paid to MA.
