One would think that the moment you mentioned 'wi-fi' and any other tech, that, hacking and therefore protection from hacking would be a priority.. you know.. ensuring your product's integrity? Nah..
but people are morons. Instead of taking personal accountability for these issues, they blame the video industry. The problem is excess or in this case, who needs a military grade assault weapon?
Banning video game isn't the issue. People need to stop making kids they can't raise and be good parents for. And those who have kids, stop using your TV as your baby sitter. Sheesh..
The idea that food is to be used as a energy source irks me considering the many people starving and that the soil can only grow so much. I would much rather see efforts being placed on clean energy and perhaps research on matter transformation/recombination. The ultimate recycler so to speak. Make something totally new from trash. That would make more sense and be truly beneficial for all mankind.
When a hacker. works for the government or military and uses his/her skills at 'hacking' other nation's computer system, this person is pretty much a soldier. So rules of war should be applied.
People take themselves way too freaking seriously. A joke is a joke. If you take offense at this.. then you got a problem. If I'm fat and I hear a fat joke and it's funny, I will laugh. If I don't like that I'm fat, I can always try and lose weight. But jokes are based on sarcasm, wit and ridicules. Tweak of the extreme so to speak. When a person hearing a sex joke gets offended, that's a PC, "Politically Correct" people and they are the worse hypocrites on the planet. There is a saying, "Don't take life too seriously, you'll die anyways"..
VHS had 6 hrs limit and could toggle between 2 4 and 6 hrs of recording. And as far as I'm concerned, the moment we could record our shows, is the moment the Neilsen ratings were doomed to fail. We've been able to record our own TV shows for the last 20 yrs for sure.. And then, of course, we could skip the ads with our remotes.. So, the advertising model slowly got skewed too. Today's problem is that every show must be a quick hit or else.. in a certain timeslot.. which means.. Advertisers retail space on prime-time. But for people like me, I've not watched a real TV in at last 20 yrs. Always recording. Or Worse, I buy DVD Box Sets. I'm not alone. And I don't count according to the Neilsen Ratings.
the moment VHS and Beta came on the market and allowed us to tape our shows, that's when Neilsen became obsolete. That and the fact that there are certain types of shows which timeslot and popularity have no relationship. We are empowered to watch a TV on our own time by being able to record it. Neilsen ratings have been a failure for a long time, but then again, the entire sponsoring mechanism behind funding a show isn't all that good either.. Look at shows like Stargate SG-1 who didn't rely on sponsors.. lasted 10 seasons and spun off 2 other shows and direct to movie DVDs, etc..
The only way we will truly be able to handle our waste problems of every type is when we invent a device capable to reorganizing molecules. And that would probably be one of the greatest inventions to benefit not only mankind, but our planet as we would finally be able to effectively not only deal with waste, but backtrack and clean up the pollution we've made in the last 100 yrs (for example, the great pacific garbage patch..)
Somewhere along the way, the internet isn't meant to be 'free'.
Somebody has to pay for the bandwidth, the infrastructure, etc.
Then comes along content. Content can't always be 'free'.
Someone has to place it on the web, someone has to maintain it, someone creates it and depending on the complexity of the content, there are 1 or more content creators and associates/affiliates getting involved and eventually people need to make a living.
Here's the point I'm making with the following example:
My wife plays 'Wordsmith' the free version on her Android phone and must suffer advertising. I, however, paid for my Wordsmith and thus, i'm ad free.
So, What I believe is very important is that user's should KNOW if there are ads in a site prior to entering. Just like users know that the 'free' version of Wordsmith will display ads.
Ads should not be forced onto users, but users should know that there will be ads, suffer them or get out. Or, pay a modest fee and never get bothered. That would make sense in a fair world.
Got a Nexus, if it wasn't for the battery life, I would give it a 10 out of 10. But if the S4 really does have a better battery life and does everything the Nexus does, then I'm flipping to S4.
Whether we agree with card or not, he's got freedom of speech. The question is whether is views would be reflected into his work. But, in the end, no matter out outlandish is views, it should not affect his work. End of democracy isn't going to start because of gay marriage, well, that's my opinion, but when we lose our freedom of speech.
If the US is under cyber attack from China and China is under cyber attack from the US.. Anybody ever thought that maybe it's a 3rd party group doing the work? spoofing IPs? etc.. Sheesh.
Feedback is feedback.. the feedback I read, did not warrant getting banned. Worse, it was constructive in many ways. Finally, this is a paying customer. If this is how EA will now do business, consider me warned, I'm not buying their wares.
I think it should be illegal to stop a paying customer from being able to provide feedback, especially since this customer is trying to have access to a product which he paid to used in the first place.
Amazing, can't even rely on the post office to send your unbelieving-in-god parcel... :) how ungodly! :)

That could be the way to fixing up people who keep being fixated on issues, regarless whether it's a tune or some form of OCD..

R.I.P.
Firefox can do the same thing with a plug-in, used it alot for testing mobile devices as I would enter their user agent string.

it's for training.. and training is big bucks. bottom line, does it teach anything? and would an effective alternative have been cheaper?
Adobe is just being greedy.. that's all.

Got a nexus.. so, whatever apps work on my Nexus will work on the 4.. but will it offer significantly better battery life?

Seriously, I remember myself reading this stuff over 35 yrs ago in various books and magazines. Why is this news today?

Sadly, sometimes, some lives can't be saved no matter what and the real humane thing is to euthanize.

He finished those 'Jesus of Nazareth' books he wrote, so now he wants to spend quality time with J.K. Rolling and compare notes... :)
if illegal downloads are done using my access, I'm the one getting penalized by my ISP.
