    With the amount of subscribers to any of their services the must have had to deal with this issue before.

    The other side of that coin is a friend who owns a panasonic 50" TV from 2002/2003 that doesn not go beyond 1024x768. He just bought a Blu-Ray player and the planet earth series on blu-ray. He marveled over the quaity of his new high def toy when in fact, he wasn't really there. I still have not brought this point up to him though, you cruel bastard.

    It is exactly like Phorm. They monitor your surfing habits to identify your likes and feed the info to a partner website that is displaying an ad based on your habits.

    ...because the opt out was buried in a 5000 word privacy policy. If anything, this story should lead the house to realize that merely posting a privacy policy on your website doesn't mean the customers are bound by it especially in terms of rights, privacy and willingness to be subjected to monitoring merely for advertising sake.

    Am I misunderstanding the article to believe the telemarketers only need to pay to have access to a list people signed up to not be telemarketed? Really?!?

    Not to mention that the words DEMO and BETA seem synonymous now. Demos seem to now be used to bug check rather than to display a finished game in its scaled down form.

    Direct hit to the nail head. I was truly let down with Second Life. I will even go back here and there to see if things changed but they never do.

    Last time I ventured into second life I searched for 'Beach' and was treated to a picture of a girl fingering herself.

    I had hopes for Second Life for businesses that I work with to have open house and virtual tours for lodging. I would not think about suggesting it anymore.

    Goatse I guess I can understand, Rick Rolls are damn funny but really, is there a huge endorphin rush that comes from saying 'first post' that I am missing? I would think that after the first thousand times it really would not be fun for even the most childish of people.

    I agree with that. As a buyer if you left a negative feedback for a bad seller, you would automatically get bad feedback from the seller regardless of how your side of the transaction was. The feedback system was a good idea but became fairly useless.

    I find it interesting that 1) I have never heard of that 2) All sex with underage children regardless of age is considered pedophilia.
