Actually I am in the process of making my own and am using cherry microswitched buttons from Happs. But I think the old skool machines all used leafspring switches, which don't click when you press them.
Didnt the early voodoo cards allow something similar to this ? I know they had a pass through from your 'normal' video card but i seem to remember the ability of running more and they would each do alternating scan lines.
Especially if they also allow any code to run on the system and maybe even make an SDK available. That way anybody could make homebrew stuff for the system and thus seel even more units.
It took me a while to figure out how to get all the stars, but what I did was drive the fast motorbike up the staris opposite the bar, where the shack save point is. Then start causing mayhem until I helicopter shows up then blow that upand once u have the 5 stars ride the bike down the beach to the resparay shop to save your a$$:)
If Microsoft did this there would be a huge outcry (BTW I hate Microsoft and all they stand for.) But at least Microsoft waits a few years before stopping support for the older versions of it's OS.
It is one thing to get developers away from Windows, it is another to get them to try and get all there code to work on every possible processor out there. Linux will run on tiny embeded systems, I dont think developers are going to be porting games to those any time soon:D
So what happens if somebody buys lots of songs from these guys and then Microsoft releases some upgrade/new version/whatever which stops you from playing the songs? Will buy.com refund you money becasue the songs dont work or do u get to keep buying them over and over again ?
But they are not mandating which software right ? Just that it be open. There are plenty to choose from, with hundreds of distros and several large/popular ones.
Is there a difference between sampleing and rerecording the melody/tune of another song and using that? ie Vanilla Ice and his "Ice Ice Baby versus queen and 'Under Pressure'
How bad would it be if both the movie and DVD were released at the same time? People that have kids will probably not take them to see the latest movie when they can wait a few months and buy the DVD at half the price of taking family of 4 to see it. Also some people have a really good home cinema set up why not let them watch it as soon as possible on it. That way all the advertising can be done at the same time for the movie/dvd release - hence cheaper for the company to advertise.

I wonder it will only certain graphics cards will be supported. As I beleive was the case with UT2K3 only working on nvidia cards.
