the imac does a pretty good job of filling that gap, why would you want a tower instead of an imac unless your an enthusiast? Im pretty sure games stress the whole system overall a lot more than any application im aware of. math problems and ray tracing and DV editing if im not mistaken are CPU exclusive operations. Im not an expert but high end graphics cards are more powerful than cpus, even if they are specialized. i cant think of any other application that will stress the CPU, GPU, RAM, HDD and everything else to 100% other than games.

Are you stealing a Scratchy worth a lot of money? Its like they didnt even try. Its certainly not funny. If it was in any other game or franchise people would complain. The simpsons has its moments but for a long time (since about season 9 or 10) its only been making jokes that would have flown in the 1980s. Thats why shows like futurama and family guy are much funnier, they have a more modern style of humor. Family guy is now suffering from the same thing though, its been going slightly downhill and when theres a bad joke i see people say "oh lol thats so random", when its not actually funny. Futurama seems to have a bit more longevity as you can watch the first episode now and its still hilarious, mabye because its jokes are more based on language and word plays. Lets hope the new incarnation is just as good.
The only show i know that has kept up well is south park, it has evolved over the years and now makes relevant and funny jokes for todays audience, whereas if you watch one of the first few episodes youl have a hard time finding something to make you laugh out loud. I remember when I first watched them I almost died laughing. then again I was about 10 at the time.

What does the wii have? a fancy controller. also better multiplayer. I dont see how that claim makes any sense. by that standard every console that came out since the colecovision or whatever was out first is only an "incremental upgrade" sicne it didnt have a fancy new control system. but no, the wii is a whole new generation of console, just because it has a fancy controller.

Notice the pot shot he takes at sony, that his computer has better graphics. thats true, but how much did his computer cost? and how long did it take him to configure and set up? its ignoring the whole reason people buy consoles in the first place. you cant compare them to PCs. And hes pushing the view that the ps3 only has graphics to offer.
Im very dissapointed with the graphics, this is exactly the kind of reason I bought 2 8800GTS 640s. And then when I start it up I get like 60 fps using only one card and it looks like im playing 2004.... is it just me or could that demo run on the UT2k4 engine and not lose any noticable detail...
Although I must say they have managed to keep the gameplay pretty much perfect.

Iv always wanted to test if people would get sick of sweets, everyone seems to assume theyl get sick in a couple of weeks but apparently not, especially kids. in fact im pretty sure addiction to salt, sugar and fat is how mcdonalds and other fast food makes their money.

Everyone seems to think backwards compatibility is one of the most important features in a console yet in reality most people never or rarely use it. I thought it was a big deal when getting a ps3 and yet iv played one ps2 game on my ps3, and i have a ps2 anyway even if it didnt have BC. I thought it was a big deal when i got a ps2 yet I cant think of a single time I played a ps1 game on it. Theres no doubt it is a good feature, especially with upscaling and all, but i tihnk a lot people put more stock in it than its actually worth.
I agree the main problem is lack of games, I mean, its pretty much a joke at this point. iv had the machine for a very long time and theres one game iv enjoyed playing on it, and thats only good for multi player (FN3). Thats probably the main thing that makes BC an important thing for PS3, the only games you want to play on it are ps2 games.
Sony keep saying "we're dropping this feature to focus on new games, we're ignoring this area to focus on new games." I just wish they'd actually goddamn do it instead of simply using it as an excuse to be lazy or cut the price. I've already got one! I dont care about price cuts!
