A.M.D.'s suit also alleges that Intel used illegal tactics to persuade dozens of companies - including Dell, Sony and Toshiba - not to use A.M.D. chips. In its response on Thursday, Intel called A.M.D.'s claims contradictory, since A.M.D. currently does business with many of those same companies.
I think you misread that, it says that AMD current DOES business with those companies yet AMD is claiming that Intel persuaded the companies not to do business with AMD.
Having working file system interoperability is crucial for sharing things like external USB hard drives that are usually NTFS to get files between Linux and Windows sytems.
The existing IFS drivers mentioned are not always enough since they don't come with Windows by default, so you can't just plug in a USB drive with an ext2 filesystem and have it work on Windows. You would have to carry the driver around on something else to install it when needed.
Let me know. I was looking for something similar for a cat locator project I was working on. This would plug into the cat locator portion of my website. My requirements are a little different since the locator module would have to be small enough to put around a cats neck.
So far, I have yet to see a solution presented in the comments that would work for my situation.
Especially since the rise of the GMail invite spooler. It has almost 500k invities waiting to be given out, so I'm sure everyone who wanted one probably has one.

What are the plans for incremental security updates to the Firefox suite? Currently we only get a new release of Firefox that has to be reinstalled. Are there plans to allow small security patches to be applied without having to reinstall the whole application?
We know that the first two movies were tragedies, so does the 'tragedy' here refer to aspects of the story line, the movie itself (as in it will be following in the footsteps of the first two), the box office revenue or the fact that it will be rated PG13?
Books are made of chapters, and a writing a chapter is the starting point to writing a book. A book isn't written all at once and it has to start somewhere. This is also akin to how we must learn to walk before we can learn to run.
Startups are the starting points to a company or business so learning where to start is just as important as knowing how to keep it running into a successful business.
Exactly. These 'studies' are the equalavent of saying that breathing causes heart attacks or riding in a car increases your risk of being in a fatal accident.
I would disagree. It's those who can't tell the difference between reality and entertainment that have the issues with this. I've played plenty of violent video games, and watch violent movies. I may see a car crash or something in a movie and be entertained by the explosion or something, because I know it's all hollywood special effects. But in real life, when I drive by an accident with firetrucks and ambulances, I always feel sad because I know someone got hurt and may have died.
If people cannot make that distiction, it is their problem, not the result of the entertainment. People constantly make choices that determine their actions and not knowing that what goes on in a video game or movie is not acceptable in the real world have a serious problem.

Let's wait for the facts to come out, and then we can start making our judgements.

What are you talking about? Everyone knows that pi are squared.

True, for the most part. However, even the latest version of Slackware only installs the 2.4 kernel by default.
Since it more closely resembles my Slashdot UID :).
Not always. But in case you do need an account, you can get one at the GMail invite spooler. It has almost 500k invites available.
I believe you mean, make that an option that we can turn off at will. I, personally, like the top post method of replies.

That may be kinda difficult since the front page says:

Entries are due by July 15, 2005!
It's called an OLED display.

I think that pretty much covers the jist of the article.
