No, it's a design decision. The browser could rightfully figure that you're trying to open a local file or requesting a search or using an alias from your bookmarks.
Personally, I feel that the web and, to a lesser extent, the internet has been adversly affected by making the location bar the primary point of control. It needs to be accessible to be sure but it's a real awkward way of doing things.
Do you have a car? Might have been less work to wire the car to the UPS and have plenty of electricity. Of course, you lose out on all the pub/beery goodness.
Your friend should be storing passwords with one-way encryption such that he couldn't tell what they are anyway. Anything else is just asking to be hacked, have the passwords stolen then be liable for all the mischief that gets caused.
Coming from England, I was surprised to see in the USA, 23" screen televisions labelled as "portable". Apparently, if a TV isn't build into some huge wooden cabinet, it's considered portable (handle or no)
Have you been inside a Dell recently? Everything is removable by levers. I'm not even sure I had to use a screwdriver when I swapped the motherboard out of a GX270 recently. Certainly you need to screw the rails onto replacement storage devices but they can't do everything.
If you want to provide examples of companies trying to lock users out of their equipment, you're looking in the wrong place with Dell.
It's already done. For example, the "Assault weapons ban" which has done nothing to reduce gun crime and has only restricted law abiding citizens is set to sunset this year.
Liquid nitrogen, if it comes into brief contact with the skin, will quickly evaporate and cause no damage. Gloves can cause a quantity of liquid nitrogen to come into contact with the skin for an extended period of time, causing damage.
Thus, unless you intend to stand there pouring liquid nitrogen over your hand or you are holding an uninsulated container, gloves aren't really helpful.
If you put a blanket on the roof, your paint should be fine. But there's a better solution: Tow bar & trailer. If you're really lucky, you just need the towbar and can borrow the trailer off someone else. Or just rent.
I get pissed off when I get stuck behind a cyclist. However, they *do* have as much right to use the road as anyone else and if they go too far to the right, they end up in all the crap and drains and broken glass etc at the side of the road with the added bonus of idiot drivers trying to squeeze past when there isn't really enough room.
In my estimation, the ideal spot for cyclists is about 1/3 of the way into the lane. This gives them a presence on the road and allows for safe overtaking.
Cyclists who are cycling for exercise and not to get somewhere or touring somewhere specific for the view should, for their own safety, try and choose somewhere that cars can pass easily and safely and not get caught behind them on windy roads and blind hills.
Bang on. I'm currently letting the "have to watch" shows on my list come to the end of their run and then avoiding picking up any new shows. The only reason to watch them is because you've become familiar with their characters. Come in on the middle of most series and the predicaments that mean so much to others seem pretty trivial when you don't know the character. Better to avoid it in the first place.
Gotta love my Tivo. Channel surfing is the primary cause of TV addiction in my opinion.
Pinball rocks as a theme and it's available for Mozilla and firefox. Not for Thunderbird though unfortunately.

Why would you think that?
RFID chips are usually very simple.Especially such as would be commercially viable for mass produced goods.
It would be out of the range of most people to make them but programmable ones are available.

Looking at it the wrong way. If you use the less restrictive grouping of "Computer gaming machines", that fourth space opens up to PCs.

The problem is, Linux doesn't need to be a Windows killer. It just needs to do what it does for the people who write it.

84? Balls. You try come living in humid, humid Tennessee.
Then again, if I could get my wife to quit turning it down below 75 I'd be happy.

I think you need to check the meaning of "proscribe" too.

Perhaps since you are being picky, you might like to familiarise yourself with the fallacy of argument by assertion.

And somewhere in Texas, a sentence has lost its apostrophe to supply the extraneous one in that sentence.

Those blue electroluminescent backlight displays require high AC voltage. You can often hear them whine when they're on.
